"Amazing place to visit. The cabin was really cool to walk around in, and there is a short hiking trail that goes around the woods on the property. It was a fun, easy way to experience the Smoky Mountains."
"A good place to visit, didn't get a chance to hike on the nature trail. If a little bit more descriptions for this site that should be helpful."
"We loved that this cabin was right off the path. It’s beautiful rustic feel and the baby bats inside were super cute !!! You should stop and check it out for sure !!! Don’t forget to buy your parking permit it’s only 5$ at the welcome center !!!"
"Very cool old homestead with a trail that loops from the cabin down to the creek with the old tub mill that served the early settlers who lived here. The trail is fairly short, but I don't know that I'd call it an "easy" walk like the sign says. It is a very rocky trail and if you have very small children, or elderly or disabled folks with you, the terrain can be a bit difficult to traverse."
"We planned on going to visit other places but unfortunately the roads were closed. This trail was on the way back to the city, and I was happy we made the stop. There are a lot of gorgeous views of the river. Fun with children and easy for them as well (14, 13, 6). We did visit the cabin, and it was nice as well. I recommend it!"
