Reviews of Family Fun Indoor Range
"Had a great experience learning to shoot pistol for the first time. Vladimir was my instructor. We started with a lecture in basic principles of firearm use for self defense. Then we hit the range with .22 cal for the practical exercises using Colt and Walter semiauto. I was able to hit the target more predictably and received great feedback on improving my technique. Spent about two hours at the facility in total. Thank you for being so generous with your time and knowledge! God Bless America!"
"We love this place everytime we come to the Pigeon Forge area for vacation we stop here they took there time with my wife and kids showing them proper safety and helped them shoot"
"In full disclosure, I've got to note that I'd visited this place back when it was run by different folks - I believe it was called Sevier County Shooting Range or something like that - and it was a perfectly fine place to go shoot run by good folks... or at least folks that were good to me. So, with that aside... The new owners have definitely spruced the place up. There's a kind of interesting vibe to the place, starting with the decor, which has a sort of cool Bauhaus feel. There's also an area that apparently doubles as a classroom for those needing the gun safety class [more on that later] and a kind of children's church. In short, gone is the quasi stark and utilitarian "Yeah, a guy definitely decorated this place" feel, which makes sense given the family - and particularly the feminine - focus of the place. It may seem thus far that some tactical guy isn't welcome here, and that isn't the case at all. As is in the name, it's a place for the family - yes, even rather young kiddos like mine [more on that later, too] - but it does seem that there's a more intentional approach to appeal to folks that might not otherwise have a recurring subscription to Guns & Ammo... and that is a good thing; those folks who are new to shooting need at least to feel comfortable enough to try it out, and hopefully stick with it. Now, finally, for the "more on that later" comments. I went to this place to celebrate my elder kiddo's birthday. I'd perhaps have gone elsewhere, but nobody else would have allowed a kiddo as young as mine [he just turned seven] to do it. Again, the place caters to the whole family. Since he's so young, my kiddo had to take a gun safety course. I've got to give Vladimir some real credit here for having been so patient with my son. He's a precocious lad, but... he's seven. Despite that, Vladimir was patient, friendly, and knowledgeable, and despite the course being somewhat lengthy, he held my kiddo's attention for the most part. Even when on the firing line, he wasn't some over-the-top instructor pressuring the kiddo. Based on my experience, Vladimir would have to be considered the difference between a 4-star and a 5-star review. I have no idea how he teaches adults, but I can't imagine it's any less patient and intentional in making the new shooter both comfortable with and knowledgeable about the gun they're about to shoot... and shooting in general, really. One last thing, and it's my one quibble, and it's that the gun safety course material might be pared down a little -not much, mind you, but a little bit - for a significantly younger audience. Admittedly, there are probably not a lot of folks bringing their 7-year-old kids to shoot, but for those that do, the presentation might be streamlined a bit. I suspect that Vladimir sort of did that on the fly, honestly, but it's the more hands-on stuff, especially the loading of plastic .22 rounds, the way of determining which eye was dominant, and the drawing of sight picture, that kept my kiddo engaged. So there you have it. If you're interested in finding a good place to shoot, but especially if you're new to shooting, this place has an awful lot going for it."
"I adore this place! The instructor, Vlad is so knowledgeble and nice. I went with my bf and his brother for the class and then to shoot. Most places are male centered but this one was not. I felt cared for and understood. I have never touched a gun before and I appreciated the patience and effort to provide me with answers to questions I had. First time going was certainly nerve wracking and I was definitely put at ease at this location. I been back several times since and always learn something new. I would recommend any lady even slightly interested to go in and take a look for herself. It is a very safe and welcoming place. You wont be disappointed."
"Thank you for an awesome safety class and shooting experience. We will definitely be back on our next visit."
