Reviews of Discovery Center at Murfree Spring
"Great place for young kids. My 3 year old loved it and didn't want to leave. My 7 year old finished and got tired of it pretty quickly. Geared more towards kids around 6 and under. Everything seemed clean. I saw someone mopping up the water play area while we were there so it's good to see them actively keeping it clean and dry. Paw patrol exhibit was fun."
"Very fun place for kids of all ages. For kids 5 and under, there is a tiny town with little shops and play tasks kids can creatively have fun with. Like, at the post office they have a postal workers safety vest, mail bag and pieces of mail and then there are various mailboxes around the town that the "mail" can be delivered to. There is a second floor available via stairs or elevator. A large enclosed spiral slide can be used by the children to get back down to the first floor. There is a small gift shop, no food or beverage options. Though it was a really fun experience, especially for my 2 year old, it would have been even more impressive if each part of every activity were in working order. It seemed like there was some maintenance needed across the facility to make it an even more magical experience."
"The water play area inside is really cool. My kid loved it. I'd say about 80% (AT LEAST and that's probably being generous) of the exhibits were broken. The outside water area is really pretty. The staff was pretty friendly for the most part. It was a bit smaller than I expected. I will take my kids back for the water area and maybe the slide (although it isn't super slick if youre wearing jeans), but likely not anything else."
"We’ve been here 3 times now. And it’s been decent every time. They have changed some of the exhibits which is nice. I will say some of the area are a little worse for wear. You can tell stuff gets broken and not fixed. The price is ok, 12 bucks per adult or child over 2 years. There is a nice outdoor area with nature trails and water features as well. This last time my daughter came home with a horrible stomach virus. I think they need to step up their sanitizing. I know a kids venue will always be a germ magnet, however."
