Reviews
"First time visiting, has a wide variety of art, but not overwhelming. You could probably spend 2 hours here max and see everything. The view on the rooftop of the mountains is so pretty. If you’re in Asheville for a few days, or live nearby, and this is your thing I would recommend checking it out."
"Nice modern art museum with some good collections. Loved the musicians playing piano and violin on the first floor. We went in after spotting it from where we were eating in downtown. The museum closes at 9pm so it was really nice to enjoy a visit after dinner."
"Truly enjoyable experience, especially the paintings that look like photos. Incredible talented artists and well worth the extra admission. Cafe on 4th floor is a nice place to sit outside and reflect."
"I was excited to experience the photorealism exhibit. Phenomenal talent is displayed by amazing artists. Words would not do this display justice. This is a must-see exhibit!"
"As a first time visitor of the Asheville museum of Art, I found the architecture of the building, accessible and easy to navigate. The rooftop cafe and the overlook to the sculpture garden in one side and looking at the mountains on the other side was a special treat when you decide to take a break. As of the exhibitions, I must say that all the works, the description and the short bios of the artists are thought provoking, unique and amazing. As someone familiar to visit the Smithsonian museums in DC. This place and the artists deserve more recognition and praise. I'm thankful for the opportunity to visit this museum."
