"Stopped by here on our way home from vacation with a 7 hour car ride home. We played here for 2.5 hours. Had lunch, the kids loved the play ground and the creek. We had a great day."
"Such a wonderful place to go with or without the grandkids! Love how clean everything is in the area. Lots of seating, we bring our chairs and of course there is always a big rock to sit on next to or in the creek! A must do with kids of all ages!"
"Since 2012, we have been bringing our grandchildren to Montreat & specifically Robert Lake Park. While the park has a very nice variety of unique playground equipment the best excitement is wading in the Flat Creek. Every child we see in all ages is quickly walking in the shallow creek and balancing on rocks. Our grandkids have a special rock away from the main park (near the tennis courts), they call Lion King Rock. So each year we get their picture at LIon King Rock and other places as they walk the creek. We recommend bringing some type of water shoe for safety walking on the rocks (crocs or real water shoes or maybe flip flops). We chose to just walk in our tennis shoes and wash them later. The water is COOL and refreshing on hot summer days."
"Beautiful place where kids can play & engage their creativity. This place has bathrooms, several playground areas, tennis courts, a creek that blocks out all the people noise and a paved sidewalks (on the outskirts of park) where you can run or push a stroller."
"This is by far the best park in Asheville / surrounding area I have been to. Upkeep is great, everything seemed functional with nothing broken. Pads of loose rock/sand for the kids to go exploring and river rock skipping. An amazing place that is very peaceful and relaxing with a melody of cascading water that gives everyone a chance to take a break. Cannot be more happy to have found this place."
