"The food was good. The service was friendly and informative. The bartender needs some training though. Ordered an old fashioned and ended up with a watered down glass of grenadine and an orange slice... I'll give them a second try though, the food was worth that much."

"First time visit for my birthday dinner. It wasn't busy but we were seated in back booth by kitchen. It smelled and a lot of foot traffic. Our waitress was inexperienced and that's ok. We just had to remind her repeatedly about drinks and ask her not to hover. I had shrimp n grits which were absolutely amazing and he had Cajun chicken pasta which he said was best he's had anywhere. Overall experience 3.5 out of 5"

"First and last time here. Starting off you walk in and there's no one to greet you, you have to stand there until someone decides to come help you. Service was minimal at best with it taking 10 minutes just to get drinks. We started with the duo dip which literally took 2 minutes to come out quicker than the drinks which tells me nothing is fresh which didn't make it any surprise that the chips were stale and over salted. I ordered the blacked chicken pasta and the pictures you see are when I finished eating this was the most bland and unappetizing pasta dish I've eaten at any restaurant in hickory. My partner got a blackened chicken wrap and he said his was very flavorless also. Not once did the waitress ask us how the food was or if we needed anything else she served the food waited 20 minutes and brought us a check. If I was a server and seen someone push their plate away still filled with pasta I would've asked if something was wrong with it. Save your money and literally go to any other restaurant in the area. Social house has good pasta and so does backstreets.T"

"A rainy day this week, my friend recommended eating at Fresh Chef for lunch. We have never been to this location so we were eager to try. Phenomenal! I’d highly recommend. The primary parking is in the back where the main entrance is located. I loved the patio space but we were seated in the bar area. It was a laid back, quiet place. The atmosphere was comfortable and contemporary. The server was friendly and professional. I had the lunch special angus cheeseburger with fries. My friend had the Hawaiian chicken wrap. Superb! Overall, the restaurant was clean and welcoming. The staff friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and to order. Prices very competitive compared to other burger joints. I will be back!"

"We beat the rush on a Friday evening, arrived at about 6pm. Service was attentive and overall good. Food was amazing. We had the filet with asparagus and fries and the shrimp and grits. The steak was melt in your mouth tender and deliciously seasoned. The shrimp and grits were absolutely fantastic. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and the grits were well seasoned. The dessert was apple cobbler and was enough to share. This is our go to date night for great food spot. The drinks were also poured very generously."
