"We had the BEST time visiting Alleghany Zoo! Anthony showed us around and took a lot of care to ensure that my little guys got to hold and touch the animals they had to offer. The visit was very laid back and we were able to take our time seeing everything. This is an absolute MUST for kids and animal loving adults!"
"Neva and her son were extremely friendly and knowledgeable, you can tell she’s very passionate about the animals, we fell in love with the farm and our kids want to go back there already! The animals seemed healthy and thriving, there are many different animals to see, our girls favorite animal encounter was the snake and the dust bunny. The tiny home was cozy and fun, we were able to cook large meals to feed a party of 7 despite the small kitchen size, the kids enjoyed fresh farm eggs for breakfast and we will definitely be back and recommend the place to friends."
"It’s difficult to describe the experience in words. We were fortunate enough to find this place by booking the on-site tiny home through Airbnb. Needless to say, the proprietors (Neva and her son Anthony) are delightfully wonderful people that are more than happy to share their love for animals. There is something magical about spending time there - which could be why my family has gone ahead and booked multiple stays for the future. Thankfully, Neva spotted the perfect opportunity to take a family photo of us (with a goat) in front of an incredible sunset and it turned out to be a phenomenal shot. We’ve grown to love each animal, but there’s something endearing about waking up and being greeted by Sabrina (a cat) standing right outside your door, waiting for a little treat. My wife said it best - “This little spot in Alleghany county is as close to heaven as you can get.”"
"Our family had the best time! The team knows their animals well, and our kids learned some interesting new animal facts. We fed the goats, alpaca and chickens, and saw many other animals (the hedgehog was a hit!) but the star of the day was a baby goat - 9 days old. We spent a little over an hour there and our kids can't wait to go back again and see how the baby goat has grown."
