About the Gaelic Alley Irish Pub
Gaelic Alley Irish Pub is the newest addition to the bar scene in Kannapolis, North Carolina. Located at 114 South Main Street, this pub offers a traditional Irish experience in the heart of the West Avenue District in Downtown Kannapolis. With a cozy atmosphere and multiple TV screens to watch your favorite sports, Gaelic Alley is the perfect spot to enjoy a pint of the black stuff with friends.
The building that houses Gaelic Alley has a rich history dating back to the early 1900s, with the space originally serving as an alleyway before being transformed into a building that lined South Main Street. The well-worn sign of the former Tar Heel Lunch, dating back to 1936, can still be seen just inside the doorway, adding to the pub's charm and character.
Gaelic Alley Irish Pub is conveniently located just steps away from the Cannon Ballers' Atrium Health Ballpark and a short drive from Concord, Lake Norman, Salisbury, and Charlotte. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Gaelic Alley offers a taste of the Irish set in the South.

Reviews of Gaelic Alley Irish Pub
"Besides being cut off after a beer by the one two toned hair bartender and closing early on weekends it's not a bad place if you want to spend 10 dollars for a four dollar beer. It's way overpriced and the attitude needs to change. I myself work at an Irish pub and we can actually pour a Guinness right. I won't have two inches of head. My bartenders give attitude just like any other but for the right reason not for "I just don't like you" I actually made some new friends there but after the one bartender I don't want to support you. And I know that's fine because you have all these people that want to go but after awhile that bartender is gonna run your patrons off. I'm not the only one complaining about her. She's really young I get that but teach her. And if she can't get over ego of being a "bartender" get rid of her. Nobody wants a rude bartender when they come up to order. It's your job get with it. Oh and you over charge for drinks like no other. 35 for a Jameson and a two smithwicks yeah no thank you. Uptown has better prices."
"Was charged $60 and when I asked the bartenders and manager what caused that they had said it was due to me opening a tab which I did not I had asked to close which I was only asked the first order I made. They didn’t offer me a refund or offer to help figure out why I was charged $60 when I had only 1 drink so far that was $7. I also saw the manager talking bad when I asked her to correct my order from a shot to a drink. I loved this place until my interaction tonight. Highly upset and do not recommend. The management needs a major change. They’re probably happy I won’t be returning as their energy gives off terrible customer service. Not a good look for kannapolis."
"This place is exactly what I've been waiting for! It's nice to have a place to go to just relax with a good quality drink. No music trivia/bingo or anything like that. There's nothing wrong with that but not what I'm looking for if I want to unwind. I saw reviews that mentioned they were expensive but you get what you pay for. The Moscow mule is really good. I'll definitely be back! I do wish they had food options other than having food brought in from Chophouse but if that's my only complaint I would say they're doing something right."
"Stopped by Saturday for an in house proper pint and one to go for my stroll downtown. Noticed the build your own bloody Mary bar behind me, and promised to come check it out on Sunday. Showed up around Noon on Sunday with my daughter. She had the Irish soda and I built a really nice Bloody Mary! I love this place!!! We stop by after movies at the Gem as part of our tradition."
"Popped in for a pint of Guiness. Our bar tender was really nice. They have an extensive selection of Irish Whiskey and other brands. Would like to see some local NC choices like Great Wagon Road and Muddy River distillery. Too bad they don't have some Irish pub food. That would elevate the experience. They do have outdoor seating and a roof top seating but it was closed. We would have sat there cause people at the bar were a bit loud and obnoxious. We will try to visit again when in the area."
