"They rebuilt the transmission in my 08 Impala and did a great job. A couple months later I had some traction control issues that turned out to be some melted wiring because hey, car manufacturers thought it was a good idea to put wires near heat. So they fixed that for me as well. So far they have sone great work and I would recommend them and go back with my next vehicle."

"If I could give negative stars I would. I called and told them my car had a bad transmission and was told over the phone that diagnostic testing in shop was $140. I took the car and when the diagnostic was done, they took my car on a joyride out of Youngsville (where the shop is located) knowing it had a bad transmission and got it stuck "on a hill". There is no hill around or near the area of the shop, so they had to have driven it a bit of ways out. They called me to tell me they had to get a tow truck to pick up my car from out of the shop and bring it back because they had gotten it stuck. I was told on that phone call that I had to pay for the tow truck which was going to be 50 dollars (so in total I was paying 140 for diagnostic and 50 towing =190). When I got to the shop the employee was unprofessional and rude, and told me that I was now being charged $238. I told them I was not paying that and that I was told 190 and the employee told me that the change was "nonnegotiable". I have never in my life had such a horrible and completely unprofessional experience."

"My transmission went out on my 2002 Chevy Silverado and left me stranded on the start of my morning commute to work on 10/11/23. I've never had to deal with a blown transmission so a quick Google search had Duncan Elite at the top of the list so I gave them a call and left a message before they opened. They called me back shortly thereafter and I explained the situation and they were more than willing to let me tow my truck to their shop that morning, even as a first time customer. The tow truck delivered my truck at approximately 11 am and surprisingly by 12:30 pm, these guys called me and not only told me the bad news that I had suspected, but went into great detail about what the problem(s) were. That meant that within approximately an hour and a half, those guys got my truck into the shop, dismantled the transmission and had me on the phone to tell me the diagnosis. I was given a couple of options and chose to go with a remanufactured transmission because of the 3 year warranty. They told me they had to order the transmission and it was a typical 2 day turnaround to receive it. Fast forward to Friday afternoon (10/13) and I received a phone call from Duncan Elite at 5:35 pm (posted hours are 8am - 5pm) to let me know that they received the transmission on Friday and already had it installed, tested and my truck was ready to go. They took my payment over the phone, and I was able to pick my truck up after hours on Friday - 2 days after the transmission left me stranded! Unbelievable. The transmission works flawlessly and I can't say enough good things about Duncan Elite. They have earned me as a customer and I will definitely be calling them with any future automobile repair needs. DO NOT HESITATE to call these guys. You will not be disappointed."

"They are good with transmissions, but not so much with other automotive concerns. Fella took his Subaru there and they did great with transmission. He went back when he needed a new motor. Not only was the "new" motor bad, but so were the next two they put in. They are now trying another motor and hopefully will get it right. Being with just one vehicle for the past six months has been both challenging and irritating."
