"I had my car towed here when my car didn't start because it was recommended to me by the AAA agent that dispatched the tow truck. I have always thought of AAA as a reputable company but this specific AAA Car Care Center is not reputable or competent or both. After waiting five days for diagnostic work due to a backlog of other vehicles, I was told I needed a new engine since there was low compression in all four cylinders ($6k to $7k). Although I am no expert on cars, this seemed strange since there was no indication that the engine was having issues previously. After talking with a mechanic friend of mine, he suggested I get a second opinion and told me that he had heard some horror stories from this particular AAA shop. I had my car towed to a different shop and they had no issue starting the car. They cleaned the spark plugs and the car is running better than ever. This AAA shop may be great for oil changes or vehicle inspections but from my experience I would not trust their expertise in repairing vehicles. The one positive: the staff was courteous and answered questions."
