"I wonder what it is that these people do not understand that beating people with wooden boards is no longer acceptable in the 21st century in the United States of America? Would you allow these administrators to hit your Mother or another grown member of your family with a wood board--(and the victims of this abuse are smaller human beings)? Will they ever be able to overcome their culture of violence?"
"I as a parent am very upset that Robeson cou th Board of Education have not made a decision in regards to West Lumberton Elementary . It isn't fair to the students, the staff or the parents. This school is o me of the best in this district. I wasn't aware of it until researching schools for my daughter. A school that could help her succeed in education. When I was informed of West Lumberton Elementary it was a prayer that was answered. Although my daughter has struggled she has improved with the help of Mrs. Tara Bullard and her teachers Mrs.Loclear and Mrs. Chappell. Each teacher that teaches at this school have amazing hearts. They all go above and beyond with these students. This school needs to be reopened and needs to be pre K-8th grade. I drive 30 minutes each way for my daughter's to attend this school. And will continue to do so. The board has sit on this and its wrong!!! It has been a year and a half and no decision. This school should have been the most important topic at hand. But I believe in saying that I'm not the only parent that feels that is hasn't been. I attended pto tonight and there were 2 people from the board that was introduced but neither stood up and offered any news at all. They waited until the parents were busy with crafts and left. I know that without a doubt that this school needs to open or relocated whatever needs done to make it happen should be done. This school is these children's second home. They love this school and they love each and ever teacher in it!!!! Make A Decision !!!!!!!!!!!!!"
