"Margaret is incredible. Both my husband and I are very picky about massage therapists, and she has given us some of the best massages we’ve ever had…independently. Also, you can use the child care at the gym during your massage whether or not you’re a member. GAME CHANGING for parents everywhere!"
"It’s safe to say I will never come back to this salon or this gym. My experience inside the salon directly is what caused me to cancel my membership as a whole. I’ve never been so horrified by a salon. I paid about $230 in total to have my first initial visit be completely botched. I left with my hair soaking wet and did not receive half of my services and was told to come back to get the rest done which I was very mortified with. Part of my hair was orange and the other half was over processed. The only thing offered was a free additional toner to fix the issue. I want part of my money back. No one should pay for jacked up disgusting looking hair and then have to pay more when they come in to get it fixed. This is a chop shop at best."
"The most rude stylist I have ever met. Basically refused to do my hair based on her own opinion and assumptions about me and what I wanted that were incorrect, ignored my wishes for service which were not unreasonable and were exactly the things I asked the other stylists I’ve had in the past with no issues, then claimed she did not have time to do anything at all to my hair during a scheduled appointment after talking to me disrespectfully for about 15-20 minutes. She did not even want my business, she was not friendly and didn’t even smile, she just did not want to do my hair on some personal account upon our first meeting due to her own horrible attitude. This was after talking down to me to the point it damaged my physical well-being, including how I was greeted… she berated me for not answering my phone when she didn’t even know me or my circumstances as to why I didn’t take her call…during an ongoing pandemic—and the attitude and way of language she used to describe the possible outcome of the appointment was frightening, condescending, and unprofessional. I even told her that and she said nothing as a response because she knew exactly how she was acting. Maybe she doesn’t even know how to do hair well, but she definitely doesn’t know the art of communication or customer service business if she’s going around hurting people like that for no reason. Verbally cutting people and refusing service based on their own wishes or lack of skill is not part of being a hairstylist. Oh, and also she told me a blantant lie that she had been calling me to get me to come in first for a consultation before the actual appointment to do my hair (um, no salon I’ve ever been to has ever done such a thing.)—and the voicemails don’t indicate that’s true at all. It represents someone who should be fired. I’ve been getting my hair done 15 years now, I’ve only ever had one bad experience (that wasn’t as bad as this) and that person rightly lost their job. People like this don’t deserve a job at all. I’ve been a member at this gym for years but it was my first time using the spa, assuming I would be treated well and feel better about myself. That’s the opposite of what happened, and that kind of treatment should not be allowed to continue. I wouldn’t go here again even if it was free. I’m obviously upset even still while writing this review, and it takes a lot to upset me. Totally not expected."
"On Friday, October 18, I booked an appointment at Life Spa for the first time by phone for a massage for Saturday, October 19 at 1:45 p.m. to help relieve back pain. As a new customer, I arrived on time for the appointment and, after completing paperwork, was told there was a mix up and someone else had been booked at the same time and that person would get the appointment. Although I was offered a complimentary massage for 6:00 p.m. that evening, that was not convenient for me as both my wife and I had already planned our Saturday around this appointment. Not sure what type of system is used for booking, but this needs improvement."
