"I have tried this place a few times and it is very inconsistent. I have experienced very rude techs who seem outdone with walk-ins and the whole process was uncomfortable to my nails. Not to mention chatting in Vietnamese to co-workers but refusing to answer the simplest questions from me. (And they do speak English). There are nail salons everywhere, no need to stop here."
"Beautiful place. Not so great work or customer service. I walked in on a weekday morning without an appt and the lady that ended up doing my daughters nails was so passive aggressive to my daughter and I. I did my nails here a few days before this and left with a rookie job on my nails, though I must say that the lady doing my nails was nice….she didn't really say anything but at least she was not rude like the lady we encountered with my daughter. I don’t think I will be going back. Another thing, when I came in to do my nails, I elected to splurge and I was given a snack and a water and a chocolate at the end. When I brought my daughter, they barely even greeted us. No consistency in customer service. Quality of work is not great. No, thank you. I’m happy to give my money to a business that values kindness."
"I've been to this “spa” 4 times for a pedicure. The quality of the work is great and the place is new and clean. After today, though, I won't go back. When I go for a pedicure I want to relax in a quiet, peaceful environment. Today the music was on constantly but it wasn't the calming spa music that I expect. Rather, I was treated to a strong throbbing base and whining singing, one miserable episode after another. Not good for a spa experience. Even though it wasn't loud, I was getting.a headache by the time the pedicure was done. I thought to mention this at checkout to see if this genre of music is their new policy. Typically the checkout person asks if everything was ok, and I figured that would be my time to mention the music issue. However this time, holding phone to ear, she deigned to speak to me only to ask if I wanted a receipt and then quickly returned to her phone call. Oh well. I'm done here."
"First time trying this location and I do not recommend. My biggest concern is the lack of sanitation. First, the towels at the manicure tables were just shaken off between clients instead of replacing with a clean one. Second, none of the manicure tools (clippers, cuticle care, etc) were being cleaned or sanitized between uses. Besides the lack of cleaning, the experience was generally poor. I had an appointment but when I arrived no one was available. After waiting I only wanted gel polish removal and a new gel manicure. The technician I had may have been new but she was unable to evenly shape my nails (asked for squared). She ended up asking someone else to come do them who said she would need to cut them again and it would be better to just round them. This would make my nails very short, but I agreed. Over an hour into the appointment and my nails were still poorly shaped and they hadn't even started painting. I ended up just asking her to put on a clear coat and paid and left because I did not want to sit there for another hour when I knew the end result would likely be bad given how bad the shaping/cuticle care were done. The results of a basic manicure and clear polish were horrendous."
"I visited Lux for the first time today. You can’t tell from the outside but this is a beautiful nail salon. Not only do they have about 20 pedicure massage chairs and multiple nail stations but they also have a full bar for both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. The decor is light, bright and contemporary. They have really put in an effort to make it a very pleasant and relaxing experience. The customer service was top notch and my nail tech Nga was so conscientious and kind. This is a family owned and operated business that I will definitely return to. Thanks for a very nice experience!"
