"I went in with a gift from my baby shower, brand new items with tags and a gift receipt to return and was told I would have to pick something out that same day, well there was nothing I wanted that same day as my son was not even born yet. I didn’t want to have a bunch of clothes in the wrong size would rather wait until he was born and then go pick out a few items. I told the older lady who I believe is the owner I did not see anything today and she said I could come back but would need to hurry up because if the items I received as a gift went on sale or clearance that would be the price I receive even with a gift receipt!? I was like okay whatever and left. Looked on the Carters website that is not their policy at all! I should’ve been given a gift card since I had the original gift receipt. This lady flat out lied to me!! What kind of customer service is that!? Went to Gastonia store and returned items received a gift card, no problem! Thanks a lot Debbie (I guess that’s your name gathering from the other negative reviews) I’ll go to Gastonia store from now on :)"

"The staff is so rude. Particularly, there is an older lady (I believe she might be the manager) I did not catch her name, but she is unbelievably rude every time I come into the store. My sons grandmother lives 1000 miles away and will often send me hundreds of dollars of carters merchandise. However, since my little boy is growing rapidly she sometimes doesn’t order the correct size. EVERY TIME I have went to this location to exchange or return items, even though the items are new in packaging with tags, this woman treats me like I’m the biggest inconvenience of the day. I’ve even waited to return items until I can make the trip to Charlotte, because I cannot stand dealing with this woman. I love carters and it fits my son great, but I hate that this is the only location nearby simply because the staff is downright rude."

"If I could leave a 0 stars I would . I have come into this store twice already and both times Debbie has been rude. I am not sure if she is racist but she uses a loud tone and speaks down to you . I witnessed her be that way to another women . I doubt I will be back here"

"If I could give no stars I would! Absolutely ridiculous! I had an order shipped to store, sent my mother to go pick up that order and they only gave her half the order there was one in store and one shipped she got the one that was shipped but not in store.. When I called the lady was very ugly with me saying call customer service she wasn’t there that day so she didn’t know what to tell me. Well now it’s been over the 14 days so they returned the clothes that were already there…. Rude rude rude."

"Very kind and helpful staff. I was able to return an item I bought online and a staff member was able reorder the correct size for me while I was in store. This made the exchange process so much easier!"
