"Dishonest place. They charged my husband 4 times more of declared price for the consultation and x-ray of two teeth. They explained it by saying that declared price was estimated. Really? 4 times more is not an estimated price. They also threatened to sue him if he will refuse to pay the whole amount."
"I have good experience with Dr. Chen. She explained the treatment in very detail and then did a nice job for the teeth. She is very experienced and has excellent professional skills. Highly recommend her."
"This is more than the worst dental office visit I ever had. I stop by for the evaluation of endodontics treatment for my two teeth which was referred by my general dentist. Similar experience as Willliam Q.D. (former customer in the following) mentioned an evaluation will cost as high as stupid over $300! The endodontist (Dr. Hong Chen) assistant said this high cost is due to Dr. Chen said I need a CT screen of my teeth as a part of my evaluation/consulation for my future endodontics treatment. However the dental nurse at the reception front desk initially told me the cost was just around $100. I requested to consult Dr. Chen face to face, so that she can be much better to explain to me how much it's necessary to include a CT just for doing an evaluation, unfortunately she refused and told her assistant I can choose to cancel the appointment with them and leave. This is awful ! As a doctor, this is totally impatient and arrogant for her patient who had took a great effort to coordinate a time for the appointment (11:00 am) with her especially in the middle of a super busy day. I would say if I could give a minus rating for this visit, I would no doubt do that. Anyway, totally not recommend Dr. Hong Chen as you future Endodontist, otherwise you will get a big surprised bill from them, and waste your time BTW. Here I'd like just want to clarify based on what Dr. Chen most recently stated: her statement was not the truth. I never accept any endodontics treatment since I was born, and I did not say I don't need the treatment. Whether I need it (the treatment) depends on the evaluation, and that's the reason I visited Dr. Chen. And my general dentist clearly wrote on the referral letter I need the root canal treatment of my effected teeth prior to he do the crowning based on the root canal treatment. Dr. Chen, pls be honest with the truth and don't fool the other customers which are not as knowledgeable as you in your field, don't you think what you stated (you were in the middle of sth, therefore didn't get a chance to explain to me in person) can't convince anyone ? As a big dentistry surgery (root canal), don't you think it's unprofessional and irresponsible to your potential patient that not trying to explain as much/clearly as possible to customer in person. What I requested was not too much, Dr. Chen. It was just communicating with you face to face to clarify everything before any necessary evaluation/treatment All in all everybody, Dr. Chen seems had no time to meet her patient instead having time to sit in front of screen to respond to my comments, then what was my appointment with her used for?"
"One of the worst dental services I ever received. Was referred to get an evaluation on whether a root canal is necessary. Turns out an evaluation will cost over $600 while a root canal will be over $1500. The doctor is very very impatient. Not sure whether that is her usual attitude or just on that day. When I walked out of the office, I double checked the front desk and was clearly told that the number of over $900 copay is all I need to pay and the rest is insurance and I don't owe them any more (They did run through insurance days before the service). Well, they kept sending me a $78 bill again and again nowadays. Really?? You made over $1500, you ran through insurance to get my copay number and I paid right after the service, and now you kept chasing me for $78?"
"I have had Dr. Chen three times for different teeth problems. Dr. Chen is very knowledgeable and professional. She is technically excellent and also is very patient to answer my questions. She gave time to educate me and explain my procedures. She decided to stop one of my root canal procedures when she found out my tooth would not be benefit for it. She said:" I do not want to charge you if you will not be benefit for the procedure". She called me after her working hours and informed me how to take care my injured tooth before my procedure. Her assistant is also very helpful and nice."
