"My two youngest were in town, for Christmas, and their mom had wanted to check out Peyton's Saloon 16. We were there on December 23rd, around 1:30 PM, and had the place to ourselves. I wasn't in a big hurry to go there, but I'm glad that my family convinced me to go. My steak sandwich and side salad were top notch. The Bar/Restaurant is very dark inside, but I guess that is to give it a "Saloon" Vibe. Lot's of interesting Manning Memorabilia, and the Waitress/Bartender was most excellent! She was very cordial, informative, and funny! She should get an immediate raise."
"We met family here for lunch before spending the afternoon downtown. My mom is a big fan of the Mannings so we wanted to check the saloon out. The menu is not large and it is bar food, but the drinks and burgers were fantastic. I had made reservations as it was the Saturday before Christmas but the bar was empty the entire time we were there. The waitress was top notch, keeping herself busy while we visited and ate but was always at the table at the perfect time. She was very friendly and funny and we were so glad we stopped in. The bar is really cool, lots of old pictures and favorites of Payton. If you're a football fan, especially of one on the Mannings, you should stop in!"
"Cool classic western bar vibe. Mannings Manhattan was a solid drink. Relaxed friendly service. Would come back again."
"I enjoyed Sunday brunch with my UT alum friends from the late 60’s after Homecoming! We started off with a General Neyland’s Bloody or Champagne+OJ, followed by a Rocky Top Omelet or Blueberry Flapjacks! All six of us thought our choices were delicious! Our server was friendly and brought our meals out in a timely fashion! It was an interesting environment to enjoy Peyton’s influence on UT!"
"Thought it was closed when we went in, dead silent. Where’s the music? There is a jukebox, but according to barkeep it would not work or would only play really low. They had on a basketball game with the volume turned off. Very awkward atmosphere. Drinks were good, waitress was nice. Chips and guacamole were really good. My daughter ordered buffalo wings and they were bad. No buffalo sauce and very fatty. She only ate 2 and when the waitress picked up the plate, she didn’t ask why they weren’t eaten. I had shrimp and grits, they were good, not great. All in all, I would say for “Peyton Manning’s” saloon, they need to raise the bar. Has potential, but definitely not being reached. Was looking forward to the experience and was disappointed."
