"Worst nail experience ever. I spent 1.5 hours on a service that should of took 30 minutes. Overpriced. It hurt the whole time during the cuticle removal process of the manicureThe lady doing my nails didn't even put lotion on my hands for 'spa manicure' and there's literal residue of her red polish all over my hands. Not to mention my nails are all shaped different... some are round, some are square and some I don't even know what they are. Don't recommend, waste of money and waste of time. I could of done a better job myself."
"Chelsea did a great job on my nails, however the staff that did my eyebrows did not do a good job. She told me to wait until night time to wipe my eyebrows off with water, well most of the tint came off. Also this same individual tried to charge me more twice giving me higher totals. My eyebrows tint being half done was not worth $50. Again Chelsea did great and I will continue services with her."
"My partner and I used to love this place. It was PREVIOUSLY Black-owned. It was VIBRANT; engaging, clean, with good prices, good work, good vibes, good people, all around a good energy. Unfortunately, under the new management, this salon has taken a turn for the worse. It is unsanitary, disengaging, and overpriced. After my last two experiences, I am sad to say that I will not return. This is truly a loss for the community - what happened??"
"Sundays are usually the only days I have time to get my nails done. I decided to try a new salon because they opened at 9 AM, which as you all know most nail salons don’t open until 12. Let’s just say “ to good too be true” upon walking in I realized it was black owned., Yay! don’t get to visit many black owned nail salons. I wish I would’ve read the reviews first before going. It seems that the salon was previously owned by someone else, the salon doesn’t look anything like the pictures online. The young lady that did my nails/toes as you can see in the picture that I attached didn’t know what she was doing. I think it’s a red flag when a customer changes their mind about getting their nails done. I was also charged $85 for the service. I will absolutely never go back and I hope that people don’t make the same mistake that I did and skip the reviews. Extremely sad that I had to do this to this black owned business but like one of your previous customers stated service is everything and if you want to be in this business, you got to take care of your customers and be held to the same standards as everybody else. Also I had SNS dip on my nails when I walked in, since they had already started taken them off I had to finish the service, you would think they would at least file or clean my nails up for what I had to pay."
"I really debated making a review, being that this place is supposed to be black owned. However, I feel that If black owned business want to be held to the same standards as other mainstream businesses then they are allowed the same feedback. I will start with the positive. The place is conveniently located, easy to find, and parking was not an issue. The salon was beautifully decorated and clean from what I can see. I observed the nail techs following proper sanitation guidelines. I am familiar with salon guidelines being that I grew up in hair salons and I am surrounded by estheticians that own their own spas/suites. The negative: 1. When I called to schedule the appointment, the receptionist was very unprofessional and did not have knowledge of the services provided and could not answer my questions. She appeared to be very young. I understand using the help you can get, but just make sure they’re properly trained. 2. Upon arrival, I was greeted but then I was left standing at the front door before someone fully acknowledged that I had an appointment. 3. Prior to arriving my tech was switched twice and I’m assuming again upon arrival because she appeared to be oblivious to my services. 4. All the employees looked like they had just rolled out of bed. 5. My pedicure service was horrible. It seemed to be the techs first time doing a pedicure. I also had an appointment to get my nails done as well but declined after the pedicure service. If you know it’s not your best work it shouldn’t be on a client and they shouldn’t leave the building without you making the necessary changes or admitting that you cannot effectively perform the service. I’m not saying any of these things to bash the business or destroy the nail techs confidence. I also don’t need a refund or am I disputing the charges. I just want the black community to have quality places that we can call our own and that we can continue to patronize."
