"I hope from the depths of my soul that my experience last night was an aberration. Hooters, and this particular Hooters, has always had a special meaning for me and my friends. We've had several major events there including significant birthday celebrations. Service and food and atmosphere have always been outstanding, and even taken for granted as a consistently wonderful experience. But last night was painful. When we arrived getting seated was a problem even though the crowd was sparse. A group there ahead of us left cursing after waiting too long to be seated. After we sat down, it was at least 20 minutes before a waitress asked if we'd been waited on, even though the waitresses sang happy birthday at the table right next to ours. We ordered our beer and our food together. It was at least 45 minutes into our visit before our beer arrived. After about another 20 minutes, two of the three of us received their food. I told my wife and our friend to get started because I was assured mine was coming immediately. Their food was at best lukewarm. Meanwhile, our friend went to the kitchen window to see what was up. The bartender who was in charge learned of our plight, and she immediately began to rectify the situation. After another 20 minutes and another birthday song, they brought mine, which room temperature except the curly fries, which were soggy and just plain old cold. The bartender, bless her, had the waitress bring our check, which was for a considerable discount. From then on, our waitress checked on us every 2 or 3 minutes. Two hours and 20 minutes after we arrived, we finally were finished. The bartender is to be commended. But for us, it was like the passing of an old friend. The last thing I ever thought I would do is give "our" Hooters a two star review, and if it wasn't for the good graces of the bartender, it would have been one."

"Not bad, not great. Wings over cooked like normal, high priced, and had to pay extra per individual ranch. Slow service but nothing less than expected. Just the once every 5 year or so trip."

"Haven't eaten at a Hooters on years. But....in Johnson City, saw this one had to stop. First impression.....waitresses still very, very pleasing to the eyes! Ordered 6 traditional Hooter breaded and 6 Dayton Beach style. A table next to me had an order of crab legs. I wish I remembered they served those. Years ago I would come to Hooters for their crab legs. They were delicious. But....next time. Of course a draft Sam Adams to complement the wings. Did I mention the very nice looking waitresses? Here's what's cool, there were a lot of couples of all ages dining in. So it's not just a place for old men to come check out the very pleasant scenery."
