"Out of the two in the Asheville area, this location has the most to offer on tap as well as the merch store. There's tons of beer. Something for everyone and they have some incredible ones in the mix. They also have some pretty good food. I visited this location more than I'd care to admit while I was visiting a family member in North Carolina. With that being said the experience at Forestry is better. The downfall of this location is the attitudes of some of the people pouring. And this is judging on a bunch of visits. The two women were the most friendly and helpful. The guy with long straight red hair and short goatee should not be working in the customer service industry. I visited mainly in the early afternoon as this place can get quite busy and I'm sure quite frustrating at times (I've worked in the industry myself). However this particular gentleman could care less about doing anything but the absolute bare minimum and with a smug attitude and is really a major liability to a place that brews great beer. It really changed my experience in that taproom because he's there a lot in the afternoon. My rating is easily one star less because of this. The Forestry Taproom was great and I'll eventually get to reviewing that space. This location is cool but customer service goes a long way and it's lacking in that category."
"Best beer in Asheville. Been to 5 of the top rated breweries near downtown and this is the clear standout. Rustic brewery atmosphere and delicious food add to the experience."
"Stopped by recently for the first time, after having many of their beers in cans over the years. They had food and two bars available for beers, each may have had a slightly different draft selection. (I did not have any food, I just came for the beer!) The staff I met were friendly and welcoming, and the beers were amazing, especially the IPAs and stouts. It was a bit busy when I was there mid-afternoon on a Saturday, but I had a place at the bar to try a few beers on draft, and they were all great. Would definitely recommend at least checking out this location for the beers."
"Heavy metal vibe, cool atmosphere and a different change of pace from the other breweries. Great outdoor seating area. A couple non-beer options. Rose slushy that was very good. Food options looked good although we didn't order. Does not do flights, but can do individual tasters, so effectively the same thing."
"We've been meaning to come here for a while on the recommendation of a friend. I really liked all the seating options. They have indoor, outdoor under umbrellas, and covered outdoor. You order at the counter and they text you when the food is ready. I really liked the beer options, and ended up chosing a wheat beer that was excellent. I just had fries, and my brother had a sandwich which he said was pretty tasty. The fries were SO good! We were there around 5:30, so there was hardly anyone there, giving us plenty of seating to choose from. Overall it was pretty good and would come back."
