"My braids came out cute but she braided wayyy too tight. I kept asking her to loosen up but she never did. Now my edges gone and I wasted 275. I’ll never come back here."
"Sara thank you for having such an amazing shop. When I say awesomeness, you ladies hands are magical. Thank you Sally for an fabulous job. If you are looking for a great shop, please go to Sara’s. I promise you will be pleased."
"Booked an appointment to get my hair braided for my birthday. UPDATE: After 2 good appointments, I booked an appointment to get my hair braided on my birthday. I got there early. There was someone else getting their hair braided by my braider. I was told to come back at 4pm. This was not a regular appointment. It was my birthday. Needless to say I never got my hair braided. She called me at 6pm to come back. I had a dinner reservation at Eddie V's that I missed. Completely messed up my day. Never again. Hope it was worth it. They just lost a regular."
"When I arrived at the salon the stylist answered the door in a towel. Red flag#1. One stylist asleep on the couch. Red flag#2. The shop was filthy #3. She mentioned they were braiding hair all night and slept in the salon. I understood and waited for her to clean up and put on her clothes. After 2 hours she started on my hair. Shortly after another stylist came in. They had a 45 minute to an hour conversation. Only 3 braids were completed during this time. I slowly became frustrated. I sat there and didn't say anything. After 7 hours for a style that should've taken 4 hours max, I became extremely frustrated. The last 30 minutes or so she leaves and goes outside. I was like really...... So when she came back I asked her not to take any more breaks until she finished my hair. She blew up like an animal, like she was up against a lion or something. Other staff jumped in and tried to push her away from my head. I told them there was no need to intervene. I wasn't going to hit her, I'm professional and have too much to lose. I DARED her to put her hands on me,She would've been shipped right back to Africa where she belongs acting like the animal she was.. (I'm a GOVERNMENT employee) If you're lookin for great customer service, Do Not Come Here!! They could care less about your time and turn into animals when you say something about it!! Never Again!!"
"Absolutely best braids ever! I love Miss Sarah she's been doing my braids for years, but this time I went and was my hair was braided by Miss MeMaw. This young lady is the best! She's very quick and as you can see precise with her braids and has a great taste for style. The salon is conveniently located close to uptown and it has a very relaxing and friendly environment. I would recommend Sara's African Braiding Salon to all my family and friends and the surrounding community. Thank you Miss Sarah and your staff for providing a great customer service that's needed in our community!"
