Carolina Ale House - Winston-Salem

"I dined here with a large group of people. A family friend’s food didn’t come out until we were nearly done eating. Another waited a long time for his drink. I ordered the fish and chips. Fish was greasy and bland. The chips were thin and over cooked. I didn’t care for the taste of the tartar sauce at all. Very expensive bill for poor food and mediocre service."

"I had a horrible experience at Carolina ale House tonight. I ordered a well done Pub Burger and instead I got an uncooked burger as you can see from the pictures. Hopefully this doesn’t make me sick because they basically served me a raw burger patty and I took bites out of the burger before I noticed. I’m very mad considering my health and I’m disappointed because I never had this experience here and probably won’t eat here again. After I called all the manger offered was a free appetizers or a refund. I recommend at least start checking your burgers and food like this before leaving if ordering To-Go . This going to get people sick it’s unhealthy and very upsetting when all I wanted was a good burger."

"Unfortunately, we waited way too long for the food ,around 40 minutes. Our server apologized, saying the kitchen was back up . Ribs were tender but needed more flavor. Also, the garlic mashed potatoes were quite hard, no flavor. The flat bread pizza was pretty good."

"Week 8 of the NFL and we sat outside to watch the game. Our game was being shown on a TV that was discolored and hard to watch. We asked if they could switch the games on the TVs so we could watch our game and we were told “no” many times without a resolution until one of us at our table suggested we move inside and watch it on a different TV set. You would think they’d be more accommodating considering we were a table of 8 and with the restaurant being scarce with people. Food was good but the manager left us with a bad taste in our mouths."

"Got the spinach dip and zingers plant base wings (general tso's flavor). Both very solid starters. The dip was very fresh tasting and paired well with the pita bread! The zinger was the perfect crunch, breading and ( lack of better words) meaty!!!! Waitress Catherine was amazing with the whole seating! Timely drink refills and gave a great Atmosphere! The main meal was the only issue. Food came out hot and fresh and looked perfect. My wife got a wrap A+ and I got the new meatloaf burger! Sadly due to an issue I had to send it back and get a replacement. Now with the new burger I got to dig in and enjoy it. Gravy was super savory with a little kick that meshed well as a dipping sauce for fries and to drizzle on the burger! Onion straw cooked to a great crisp meat was that perfect moist and paired with the breading made the perfect bite that left me wanting more after each time! A little under seasoned but all in all I give a 7.5/10 for the burger! Fries 10/10 send me home with extra!"
