"Eli is an expert whether you want straight or curly, long or short. She styled my curly pixie the way I wanted it and then finger coiled each of my curls. It was perfect."
"I was not going to give a bad review towards this salon but I had to because I seen some breakage on the side of my hair. I just put some organic oil and conditioner on it so it can start back growing. Okay let me start my review about these hair stylists. I had already spoke to the stylist by phone and explained to her that can you apply heat protection spray on my hair. She said she would but when I arrived there and she started blowing my hair she only apply a small amount. Like only one spray on my hair. That was not enough because my old hairstylist knew I have a lot of hair and she sprayed enough to cover my hair to protect it from the heat. Then I asked her to please don't apply a lot of heat on my hair. She did do the right thing by not applying a lot of heat. I didn't think that was asking to much. Most hairstylists does not apply a lot of heat on their clients hair because it can damage your natural hair. So the first experience was fine but like I said she didn't apply enough heat protection spray on my hair. Only one spray and they charging people a lot of money to get their hair done there. So I decided to go back again now I wish I would have not went back there because now my hair got heat damage due to the other stylist applied a lot of heat to my hair. I kept explaining to her not to apply a lot of heat after she took the rollers out of my hair. She still kept doing it and I smelled the heat. I was afraid that my hair would break off and it did. She did not apply no heat protection spray on my hair at all. I'm very angry at the fact that Scaly told the other one to do my hair. That's not right. The only thing I was happy about that they had good coffee but my hair is important to me and they should specialize in keeping people hair healthy by just listening to them when it comes to their hair. I should have kept searching for another hairstylist that will show concerns about their customers hair and does not apply a lot of heat to it! I had to rush home to add my own heat protection spray on my hair because it smelled like it had got burned by that other stylist. Some of my hair did break off due too their negligence and not wanting to listen to me and not applying so much heat. I have real nice grade of hair and don't ever need a lot of heat especially if I got rollers in it? I didn't understand why adding extra heat to it."
"Scarly and all the stylist are great stylist. I'm 57 years old and I can say all my life I've never had the hair experience before. My hair stays straight for so long. Ciblena Gurley"
"Was my first time here as I’ve been looking for a good Dominican hair salon. The ladies were very nice and friendly. The ONLY reason I am not giving a 5 star is the price. Now as a Dominican from NYC, I have never paid $70 flat for just a wash and set. My daughter and I both got a blowout (I did rollers) I have medium length hair and my daughter has short hair. We both had our ends trimmed. I was charged $70 for each blowout and a full $30 each for “haircut”. Again, our hair was done beautifully and they are very nice, and I understand it’s an economic crisis going on but I feel like it’s overpriced. I probably should of asked prices ahead of time to be mentally prepared, but I tend not to do that. I would recommend for special occasions and to be prepared to pay a hefty price."
