"I will begin this review by saying that I have already called this salon a few days ago and talked to the general manager AND Katherine (the woman who cut and put highlights in my hair) before I wrote this review to see if the issues with my hair could be resolved. On 08-15-19 I visited Studio C Spa & Salon to get my hair cut and to get teal highlights put in my hair. The general manager came outside when she seen me pull up and was very nice and polite and directed me to where to park my vehicle. The general manager directed me to a seat and told me that Katherine would be with me shortly. When I was in the process of scheduling my appointment days earlier, Katherine asked me what time would work best for me. I told her 2pm would be great. She responded via text that 1:30 would work better for her. I told her that would not be an issue and that I would see her at 1:30pm. Well I arrived at 1:20 pm ready for my appointment and sat in that chair in the lobby until 2:40pm until she was finally ready to start on my hair! She still had a client in the room. I proceeded to tell her how I wanted my hair cut and how I wanted my highlights. I will note that I am a male and I also am NOT picky about my hair, but the issues that are going on now are quite ridiculous. Through out the process of doing my hair, she is jumping back and forth between me and other customers. While she was putting the bleach in my hair, it seemed as if she was rushing and not taking her time making sure to get close to the roots of my hair. Needless to say long story short, well over 3 hours later my highlights and haircut is finally over. Today makes 9 days after my highlights, and my teal highlights are bleeding out on EVERYTHING!!! I have done every single thing that Katherine has recommended since day 1. Wash my hair in very cold water and to use the proper shampoo. I have even went out and spent way to much money on some Paul Mitchell color shampoo like she recommended and this has not helped the issue one bit! I have teal all over my pillow every single morning that I wake up and my hair is completely dry every night before I go to bed. I have teal transfer on my t-shirts, under my fingernails, on my skin and forehead every day. I have teal all over my towels and even when I simply rinse my hair out with just cold water and no shampoo, the water turns completely teal and drips everywhere. Though I have not taken pictures of everything, I have taken some pictures and I plan to post them on this review. I have also taken pictures of the horrible job that she did on my highlights. From the root of my hair to the pointe that the highlights begin are roughly 1/2in to 1in of root showing!! It looks like I got my hair highlighted over 2 months ago and the picture will show this clearly. When I mentioned this to her in a very nice and calm manner over the phone when I called, her response was, and I quote, “Well I did use the prosses of hand painting them in, and…… and…….. uhmm……. I really do not know what to say about that, I am sorry”. She seemed like she could care less and was unconcerned about my experience and her quality of work. She fed me nothing but excuses. She not one time mentioned a refund or anything for my time. Now I am $90 in the hole for work that a great clips in a Walmart could have done. May I also say this is not the first time I have gotten highlights in my hair. I have had orange highlights 3 times in my hair and I have never experienced anything like this before. I also used the shampoo that I was currently using throughout all of those other experiences and had never had an issue. Though the General Manager was very concerned and treated me very nicely, she said that she had no say so in Katherines work because she was independent. This being said, I will NEVER return back to this salon and I honestly feel bad for the GM as well for having someone work in her building that does not do anything close to quality work."
