"Ms. Hazel and the two receptionist are amazing!!! The two women who worked on my friends mouth talked to each other the WHOLE time. They talked about working out in the gym, their kids, and etc. They have ZERO bedside manner. It was as if he wasn’t even in the room. Not once did they ask if he was okay during the procedure and just talked to each other. No aftercare instructions or anything. You can tell the difference in the people that actually care about their patients and love what they do."

"Ever since the new owners have taken over, this practice has gone down hill tremendously. This facility takes Medicaid but still refuses to see children if their parents have a bill that is owed with the facility. It does not make sense to me. The state laws state that "10A NCAC 22J . 0106(a): “A provider may refuse to accept a patient as a Medicaid patient and bill the patient as a private pay patient only if the provider informs the patient that the provider will not bill Medicaid for any services but will charge the patient for all services provided.” a. 10A NCAC 22J" This does not deem that the facility can "write off, or not see a Medicaid patient" if their family members owe a bill. I work with a few MCOs and know that in no way is this behavior ethical. NC Medicaid should really "check in" to this place. Something about denying a child services with full Medicaid, because their family owes a bill, don't set right with me, or other tax payer dollars. The staff inside are all awesome, and seem to care about their patients, but the new owners, "ehh" the community wants the old owners back. Definitely need new owners, or Dental Practice Act shut this place down. If anyone on here that is viewing this comment, please reach out to your local MCO on the back of your Medicaid card and file a complaint."

"Went here for surgery on a cyst and surgeon mciver took care of it & explained everything clearly. I healed properly and no one would even notice I had my gums sliced opened and stitched after healing. Very professional staff and would recommend anyone needing to be treated for oral surgery!"

"If you're looking to receive assistance with a toothache and have no insurance disregard this facility. Please look into St Mary Health Center in Wilmington. They took x-rays and pulled my tooth for only 25 dollars. I was charged over 100 just for xrays and almost 500 dollars for extraction at this facility. Hilarious scam. St Mary Health Center in Wilmington numbed me up so good you could run me over with a truck and I wouldn't feel it. Do yourself the favor and just don't bother with these folks."

"The office staff is so nice so I wish I could give a good rating. But my experience having my teeth worked on was extremely unpleasant. I needed a lot of work done, which of course is on me, but it felt like they rushed to get as much done in as few sittings as possible. Two of my fillings were not finished completely, so I have two holes that are fairly noticeable between my gum line and the fillings that cause me immense pain any time I drink something cold or even breathe in cool air. Quite a few other places that were filled were not shaved down properly, so the surface of my teeth is rough and uneven. I also needed to have two teeth extracted. On their website they say the offer some types of sedation, but when I asked about it at the office they said that they don't. I have pretty bad dental anxiety due to a history of needing extra oral anesthetic, and I tried to inform the dentist of this beforehand, but I don't feel like I was taken seriously. They didn't give any extra anesthetic when I told them I still felt pain as they pulled my tooth out - I was told it was just pressure even though I was in EXCRUCIATING pain and crying. It was probably the worst dental experience of my entire life. It made me feel completely devalued as a patient to not have someone who was supposed to be taking care of me be understanding or supportive at all. So now I have extra dental anxiety and need to get my fillings fixed, which is going to cost me more money, so I really don't think I will be coming back here."
