"I moved to the area and tried one of the “glamour” salons in Hendersonville. Had a bad experience. I asked a friend who is my age if she colored her hair (it looked really natural, was hard to tell.) She said yes, and told me to go to Cindy at Lake Lure Salon. It took 6 weeks to get in, but she was worth the wait! I’ve been going for over 2 1/2 years and have never been disappointed."

"It's a very nice place, and folks are friendly. However, I gave very detailed and careful instructions regarding how I wanted my hair cut, 'I want to comb it back and have long hair that stops just at my shirt collar.' I had been wearing my hair quite long for several years and saved the removed pony tail to give to my granddaughters. I relaxed and enjoyed the conversation as the barber worked. When it was finished and I looked in the hand mirror I was shocked to find that my hair had been cut very short, entirely different than I had instructed. If you go there for a cut be certain you draw a picture of what you want done, and monitor the work."
