"I can't comment on Dr Codelli as I did not get to see him. My experience did not get that far, still it's his practice. I had an appt, in which I drove over 1 1/2 hours, for a consultation. It is my understanding a "consultation" goes over procedures and cost of procedures, especially when your considering full arch implants that could cost upwards of $40,000/$50,000. I understood this was the cost and have financially prepared. As soon as I arrived I was sent back to a room for some type of x-rays (panoramic) to be taken. I asked the tech what the price was for this, and if it was covered with my dental insurance, as I was coming in for a "consultation" not to begin the steps for a procedure. Especially as I had not even decided on WHAT exactly I was going to have done. All on 6 is specifically expensive, I was told there were other options, which is what I was coming in to consider, ALL options. The tech was very nice and got another "office" employee that advised my appointment could be upwards of $385.00. I explained I was under the impression this was simply for a "CONSULTATION" only. I also told her when scheduling these type of appointments maybe it would be a good idea to let one know (upon scheduling) that it would be considerate to let the potential patient know of this cost upfront. I was hoping my insurance help would cover this part, if I decided to begin dental work. They don't take insurance but will file, however you still have to pay upfront FOR A CONSULTATION! This employee was consensending and advised it was MY RESPONSIBILITY to find out the charges when I initially called and made the appointment. After a few minutes she came out and advised if I decided to go ahead with whatever surgical procedure decided upon, they would take the $385 off of that. WOW...if I spend $30,000/$40,000/$50,000 they'll take $385 off of that!!! That is ludicrous! Not to mention you'd rather lose the implant procedure for $385.00?? Which I didn't even need at this appointment. Just to be certain I called 4 other implant dental practices. Inquired about "initial consultation". A "Consultation" to discuss procedures, such as cost and type of involvement. ALL 4 OF THEM advised there was no charge for this type of appointment. Which is what I thought customary, considering the upward financial investment of multpile implants. And if your reply is going be along the lines of "....we ned to have xrays and films to give you an accurate price" that's a load of bull & not even where we were at yet. This step is not necessary until one has decided to go ahead with treatment. This practice has been around long enough they should know the general cost for something they do week in and week out. Also..to have the NERVE to throw it back on the patient???!! I SHOULD HAVE INQUIRED ABOUT YOUR FEES?? Horrible customer service!!! Again, this appt was to go over what options were available, potential cost, and to see the difference in the procedures. Whatever employee you have working the front desk, I didn't catch her name but she's old, very nasty, and just cost you a paying patient. This woman must be miserable for her co-workers to have to tolerate all day. Sadly I have recommended many people in my community to Dr Codelli, but never again. To the contrary... I suggest anyone reading this review to do diligent research. This practice is interested in GETTING YOUR MONEY and locking you in by immediately taking x-rays and such. Good reputable practices won't do this without going over what procedures are available and the general cost. If this is how they are going to be at this stage then I, as well as my family, will go elsewhere."
