"The staff was really cool about it. But every single one of my pores came out foamy from the Lagers. Aside from that. It was a great place. Really good. DJ"
"This past weekend, I visited the establishment. The hostess was pleasant enough, but her presence was scarce during our time there. My friend and I opted for two half pours and two glasses of wine. As it was my treat, I absentmindedly left without settling the bill with cards, assuming a standard 15% tip would be added. To my surprise, they included a hefty 50% tip along with an additional $5 for each card. This left me perplexed and dissatisfied. On a different note, my tipping habits are typically based on the service I receive—be it someone attending to me, preparing a latte, pouring my beer, or delivering my food. The concept of tipping for a service that didn't transpire felt foreign to me. Perhaps implementing a self-checkout payment system would be a more suitable solution, allowing patrons to tip according to their satisfaction. While I appreciate the convenience of such establishments, the current trend of "going out" seems to deviate from the traditional dining experience. I, for one, find myself disenchanted with this new approach and have decided not to return."
"Update: dropped another star because they got rid of all drink specials. Now it's a place I'd come once every couple months instead of weekly. :( "YOU STILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THAT" is what one of the workers (I'll call her Jersey Shore due to her looks and demeanor) yelled at me when I came down stairs to let them know one of their taps was only spitting out foam. Well Jersey Shore, guess what? I'm not paying $8 for 5oz of foam and 3oz of beer. Thankfully a younger guy went up stairs and resolved the situation by getting me a beer that wasn't completely foam. Most of the time service has been excellent with the staff being happy to provide recommendations, clear away used glasses quickly, and once even brought me napkins, plates, and plasticware when ordering from the food truck. But I'll always remember how Jersey Shore yelled at me every time I go to this place. I have been here around 10 times, and for the most part it's excellent! The place has great vibes with TVs, games, and table shuffleboard. The upstairs space is great when it's not too hot. I love that you can just place your card in one of the tip boxes on your way out and don't have to worry about checking out. It would be nice if they did sample sized glasses so I didn't have to feel bad about using a full pint glass for only 2oz of beer, but it doesn't seem to bother them so I guess it shouldn't bother me. I'll keep coming back and enjoying the place, but it would be nice if all staff was trained to be problem solvers looking to provide a great customer experience rather than being confrontational."
"Tapped into Perfection! Move over, regular bars – I've found my new happy place at Overflow! It's like Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, but for craft beer/cider/seltzer lovers. I mean, who needs a golden ticket when you've got a self-pouring wonderland? Walking in, I felt like a kid in a candy store, except the candy is hoppy and comes in a glass. The self-pour setup is genius – it's like being your own bartender, which means I can sample a little bit of everything and finally pretend I know how to pour a perfect glass. The selection is mind-blowing. I hopped (pun intended) from one tap to another, discovering flavors like an adventurous explorer with a beer compass. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, making it impossible not to relax and savor every sip. They had a food truck on site and even a live one-man-band with great music!"
"This is a fun spot. The look and vibe are excellent. The rooftop patio is one of the best in the metro area. Blankets are such a great and original idea. Staff is great as well. Very friendly and helpful and ALWAYS around if you need anything. Fun, fun place. Highly recommend. The only negative was the acoustics of the place when they have live music. The ceilings are so high that the acoustics aren't great. But to spray sound absorbent is very expensive so I definitely understand and not a big deal at all. Highly, highly recommend!"
