Reviews of Path Thrift Store Ministries of Western York County
"It's my favorite place to thrift because the staff is so nice and are always so friendly! I love coming here"
"Too overpriced and rude every time I go in there. I would say just avoid this place and head elsewhere. They are supposedly for a good cause, but with how the women act in this store, especially towards their older customers, I think it’s just funding their pockets along with whoever is close friends with them. Avoid unless you wanna be ripped off"
"The staff is friendly and helpful. Always warmly greeted and they have great finds at great prices. Great mission right within The city of York! Volunteer opportunities are meaningful, community helping community."
"The new Manager has done a beautiful job organizing the store. That being said there are a few negatives. First, they did away with marking items off on certain days of the week/month which I always looked forward to. They used to Mark down clothes to 50% of tag price the first weekend of the month, glassware was marked down on another weekend and so on. For instance there is a sign that says all Dresses are $4.00 but then you’ll find another sign that says ball gowns $10-$20 or you’ll find a dress that has a $25 tag. Next, it seems prices have increased greatly for everything but I really noticed an increase on glass items & furniture. I think I saw a few items in the display case marked $200-$300 which is something I’d expect to see at a antique store not a thrift store. Typically people shopping at a thrift store can’t even afford to pay $10 on a glass item or lamp, hence the reason to shop at a thrift store. I was Surprised to see these prices at a Thrift store, especially one that is a Christian thrift store that relies on donated items. Third, it doesn’t seem as warm and inviting as it used to be & I think that has to do with the staff. Yes they are friendly but the old staff seemed very welcoming and none judgmental compared to the new staff. Even though the old manager wasn’t as organized & the store was a mess, I miss The warm and inviting atmosphere, the great sales prices and the busy hustle bustle of people being able to afford to shop at a Christian Thrift Store. Please consider coming back with the special mark downs during certain times of the week/month & not treating this as a department store/antique store. Thank you kindly."
"I do not feel like things should be priced by what one person thinks when you get to the register. Everything out should have a price. I asked about prices on several items and a young man said my mom will price it when you get to the checkout ..we price some items as they are sold. So do they look at you and decide what to charge? Thus makes no since. Everything should be priced. I felt they were pricing it on how you looked and I am going to be dressed clean and nice if I only have a penny to my name. Sends the wrong messages not pricing things on the floor."
