The Jailhouse Whiskey & Cigar Bar

"In town for business and tried to get a drink on a Tuesday night. I'd heard good things, and I love trying real whisky bars. I arrived at 9:35 p.m., but even though they close at 10 the bartender said she had already locked the outside door (someone held it open when I walked in so it wasn't locked for me) and refused to make me a drink because they're "not a sit down and take a shot kind of bar." Basically told me to get lost. Have to say I've never experienced anything like it. Not really sure what that means or why you say you close a 10 when you stop serving drinks at 9:30, but keep that in mind."

"Arrived a minute before they opened and the door was locked. Someone by the dumpster says they open at 3pm and we have to wait. It was 2:59pm. So we waited outside a other 5 minutes and another person comes up and tries the door a few minutes after 3pm and it's still locked. We all chuckled and the guy tells us he works there and leaves. We wait a few more minutes and no one unlocks the door. Clearly the person working the opening shift wasn't interested in opening for the people he knew were waiting outside. We've been plently of times over the past four years and the cocktails aren't worth playing a cat and mouse game with surly staff. Sure, the atmosphere is cool inside but we won't be back."

"We got there early, had a drink and decided to eat at the bar. Canceled our reservation at Stone and ordered from the food truck (that has a more limited menu than the restaurant). Our steaks were done perfectly, and everything was delicious! The ladies behind the bar (Erin and Kayla) are exceptional! The drinks were original and refreshing! We had a great time celebrating our anniversary ❤️ Would definitely recommend!"
