"Wonderful first visit at Gertrude & Lloyd! The place itself was very clean and calming when you walked in. Patrick did my hair today and he was wonderful! He was very nice and welcoming and listened carefully to my hair needs. He answered all of my questions and had suggestions to different products for my hair type. I felt very comfortable and relaxed when I was there and Patrick would make sure throughout the hair cut that everything was looking good to my liking. Will definitely be back and recommend them to my friends! Thank you Patrick and Blair!"

"I have been seeing Blair, one of the co-owners of Gertrude & Lloyd, for five years. Finding someone who can cut short, curly hair well is extremely hard—finding someone who does it as well as Blair is practically a miracle. People regularly stop me to compliment my hair, ask who cuts it, and sometimes even take photos to show their stylist. When Blair and Patrick relocated from Atlanta to Sylva, I didn't hesitate to adjust my haircut schedule to drive up there every six weeks from Atlanta for my cuts. It is worth every minute and every penny. The frosting on the cake is that Blair and Patrick are incredibly good humans. They are funny, kind, caring, and deeply committed to their community on both a local and global level. I feel extremely lucky to know them."
