"Super friendly and helpful staff. Best fastener selection in the area without going to a big box store like Lowes."
"This store has anything you could need and more. I love the fact you park close, and the prices are very competitive, with much less hassle that you get at the big box stores. I am always asked if I need help. Great store"
"Needed a replacement car key with a transponder. They were able to program it and cut it in less than 5 minutes. Quick, easy and friendly."
"YES GOOGLE IM PROUD TO SAY IVE BEEN IN & OUT OF CONOVER HARDWARE A COUPLE TIMES THE PAST COUPLE DAYS (some places you just CAN'T stay away from) i had a couple trees & limbs down from last week's storm & i've been shopping for a chainsaw. i text'd & asked 2 old-neighborhood scouting woodsman tools-man engineering type buddies (that are usually travelling on different sides of the world) what their recommendation would be for an easy to start, long service & easy to repair chainsaw & BOTH said STIHL & BOTH said GO TO CONOVER HARDWARE I DID & IM GLAD I DID TOOO ok i walked in & a very cheerful STEVE asked if he could help. i cautioned him To BEWARE that i might be beyond help & he said NO YOU CAME TO THE RIGHT PLACE. he got my rendition of what im shopping for & recommended the SAME 16" MS-171 as was ALSO recommended before i walked in (SOLD) & lemme go ahead & get Oil, More Oil & that really NICE gas can you mentioned toooo Steve filled the gas & oil ports in the shop & then outside we went for its maiden voyage as he called his GO-TO GUY Nathan after a couple New Chainsaw Tuggs Nathan cranked it up & it sounded just like a Jerry Clower soliloquy of Marcell's Talking Chainsaw GRRRRREAT ! well after dinner thursday i had a fallen overgrown shrub that i wanted to START with (easier said than done) the chainsaw kept bogging down to the point that i said bad words ok SOMETHINGS NOT RIGHT (assigning this to be a total failure) i went back friday morning around 10a (HELP) RICK (who actually remembered my name from the checkout paperwork yesterday) said point blank "There Can't Be Much Wrong With It, ITS BRAND NEW" & he was MOST EAGER to get this resolved & tagged his brother Nathan for the task Nathan ran me thru the starting procedure (β im with ya) & it just so happens i brought along a nice chunk of sassafras to facilitate a little service after the sale load test demonstration of what i was experiencing yesterday Nathan cranked it up, cut right thru & made the task look EASY He did it again & again after that (next ?) ok i tried it & Nathan watched & it appeared what we have HERE was a simple case of "O-M" (operator malfunction) as it turns out im a wimp & just needed to GIVE IT MORE GAS to get thru the cut & it didn't take Nathan long to figure THAT out either (he's goood > he KNOWS a wimp when he sees one) No, Nathan didn't tell me that i was a wimp (that was a self-realization) he just told me to GIVE IT MORE GAS & START THE CUT AT FULL RPMs YEP WORKS GRRREAT NOW (after THAT little minor operator adjustment) YES THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I WANTED TO BUY A CHAINSAW FROM A PLACE THAT ALSO SERVICES WHAT THEY SELL & I FULLY UNDERSTAND WHY THE CONOVER HARDWARE RECOMMENDATION WAS SO COMPELLING from my buddies; as though i had dropped out of the sky on Pandora & knew nothing about the nearby Conover Hardware outpost later that afternoon . . i stopped back by Conover Hardware when i ventured out to fill my NEW gas can to ask if any kind of gas was preferred . . . . as soon as they said "Go To Butch's" i knew (& have long valued) their recommendation THANX RICK THANX NATHAN THANX STEVE & THANX to the rest of the Conover Hardware Crew TOOOO that pointed me in the direction of thee preferred gas outlet TO QUOTE A California Governor. . . . . "I'LLLL BEEE BAACKK" PS (its 2p friday) i went out after lunch & ran out the rest of the gas. (YES theres still C-B Oil in the reservoir just like nathan said) i ALSO have a large stack of cut up 8" shrub parts that are ready to head for the road (THANX CREW) OH ! OH !! OH !!! GUYS !!!! Conover Hardware HAS a LODGE CAST IRON COOKWARE ASSORTMENT * The 12" LODGE CAST IRON FRYING PAN HAS BEEN AMERICA'S FAVORITE SINCE 1896 NO ALUMINUM & NO NON-STICK COATINGS FLAKING OFF & POLLUTING YOUR CUISINE When YOU BUY One Of THESE 12" Frying Pans YOU ARE BUYING A Lifetime Kitchen & Camping Companion"
