I came to Murphy looking for a home and my son had an emergency, they were quick to get him in and every step of the way. Above and beyond! I chose Murphy and one of the reasons was experience with this dentist. Now my whole family goes there."

"This review is about 25 years late, which I truly regret, but I'm not pc or cell phone savvy. Although I lived in GA, I first went to Dr.Mims office on a recommendation because Dr.Tina Woods was working there, & not only was I dental phobic, I was extremely phobic with males due to past abuse issues. Dr.Tina was great, then she left to do missionary work. I had seen Dr. Mims in the hallways, mostly smiling & no one seemed scared of him. My wonderful hygienist, Robin, assured me I'd be in good hands. I was in great hands all around, Debbie, Rebecca & Tabitha all dealt with my craziness & fear with compassion, but Dr.Mims changed my whole attitude about being fearful with male Dr.s, above & beyond what any dentist should have to do. Dr.Mims truly gave me my smile back! I'd be relaxed & smiling in the waiting room, not the usual way one feels at the dentist. They say "no pain, no gain" but I never, ever had any pain ( ok, root canals had some after effects, but they were managed beautifully ), & the work was extensive. I actually looked forward to going to the office for my cleanings with Robin & always left smiling. I've moved & love being back in the tropics, but I sure do miss going to see the wonderful crew there. Spoiled rotten by their care, my only regret is that I'll never enjoy going to the dentist as much as I did when I was in driving distance. There's a huge difference between just competence & competence with compassion. I've have found a dentist again, I only wish I could find the $ to fly north for my cleanings with Robin & be able to say thank you to everyone in person. If there was a way to give 6 stars, I would. I highly recommend Dr.Mims & I can say you won't be disappointed when you go, & grateful you went when you leave."

"Had a great first experience until I called to ask instead of having my bottom teeth worked on ( just to cause more issues ) I asked if they could schedule for my bottom teeth to be removed when I go to have my top teeth removed and was told Dr Mims wasn't going to do that and I would need to go find some free dental clinic or someone else and they would never see me again . Leaving me with 6 abscesses , 6 badly broken teeth that are rapidly decaying and other issues . NEEDLESS TO SAY , I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND DR MIMS TO ANYONE , THEY'RE STAFF IS RUDE, THEY NEVER CALL YOU WHEN THEY'RE SUPPOSE TO AND AREN'T WORRIED ABOUT YOUR DENTAL ISSUES . FULL WASTE OF USING MY INSURANCE THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR !"
