Beauty Spot

"The drive up is pretty brutal on a one-way dirt road but if you make it the views are worth it. The drive down in the dark after a sunset trip is just as tough. On weekends there will be cars lined up all the way down the road on the side of the mountain. That being said, it is definitely a must see spot if you are in the area. Pictures do not do it any justice!"

"Beauty Spot Gap Road is closed until spring. It’s 2.5 miles up the AT from the parking area at Indian Grave Gap. Beautiful view. Hardly anyone on Sunday afternoon."

"Lucky to have fell upon this in my Mercedes camper w my cavapoo Chewy travelling thru on Labor Day weekend. I will admit I was scared & seemed desolate driving up but once at the top LOTA of people were there. I was lucky to get to experience it on a calm clear night. My pictures do not do it any justice; highly recommend if you get the chance."

"Thought the area was very nice and it was easy to hike to. Yes, it is a gravel road to get there, but we thought it was very passable since we did it in a low clearance open frame car."
