"I needed a new battery, what I got instead was a list of bogus problems creatively imagined by Joe. I have a mechanic out of town and only sought service at The Organic Mechanic because my battery had gone bad. When I shared the list of work proposed by Joe my mechanic was taken aback at the blatant fabrications. After paying Joe $75 for his check of my battery ( a service, by the way that is free at O’Reilys next to Ace Hardware) I took my car elsewhere. Word to the wise: Get a second opinion before believing a word from the organic mechanic!"
"Helped me out when in a bind with a dead battery. Squeezed me in last minute and got me on the road again. Jack is awesome! Will be using them for all my automotive needs in the future."
"The Organic Mechanic has earned my business for life. Jack, the manager went above and beyond to make sure our family car was repaired correctly. They stand behind their work and are transparent about the exact cost to expect. This is truly a place that treats you like family."
"My car alerted that the back brake pads were critical. I brought my car into the OM and they told me I needed to replace my back brake pads, sensors and rotors all the front stuff as well , replace brake fluid, etc etc etc for a price just under $2000. My car only had 24,000 miles on it. I asked what was the matter with the rotors and was told it’s a European car and they ALWAYS change the entire brake system out not just the pads. I called the mini dealer to see if this is normal and they said no. I told OM to do nothing and let them know what Mini said and they insisted that was their practice. I brought the car to the mini dealer. Needless to say only the rear brake pads and sensors needed changing…. Shame on you OM! I will say they didn’t make me pay the $70 brake inspection fee"
"I am absolutely stunned at the level of customer service at Organic Mechanic. I only gave them 5 stars because there’s not an option to give them more. I have had *the worst* trouble with shady mechanics for years, and I am beyond grateful that I have finally found a shop I trust completely, because I *know* they are honest and dependable. My car had an oil leak that ended up making the serpentine belt slip off. We were right around the corner from Organic Mechanic, so we limped in and had them fix it. Once we picked it up, everything was fine, until about an hour later, when the belt slipped off again. Multiple very serious issues followed before we could get back to the shop. It turns out the part was faulty and instead of throwing up their hands and saying “oh well” like every other mechanic I’ve dealt with in the last 5 years would have, they fixed the leak, the belt, and everything else that resulted from it. I cannot stress enough how much work they put into it. Let’s just say that these repairs were astronomical compared to what I originally went in for. I will never take my car to another mechanic in WNC."
