"I visited Dr. Yoon a couple years ago. I had dental insurance and got an expensive service that I pre-planned to pay from my FSA after the insurance. They gave me the estimate. The insurance covered half of the treatment. The rest was around $400. I paid that at the time of service. The first half of the treatment there was a nightmare and I barely could stand the pain. The second half fortunately there was a visiting dental associate and was much more tolerable, which made me wonder how skilled they were. After all this they said the insurance didn't cover the payment. I couldn't cover it, as I had pre-planned this visit over a years time! Unfortunately, during this time was COVID which cut my work hours and then I was diagnosed with a terminal cancer!!! I told them all this, and they continued to hound me about this bill that they said the insurance would cover initially. I was too overwhelmed to figure out exactly what happened, dealing with COVID and being terminally ill. Fortunately, I am recovering, but they sent the bill to collections and now has affected my credit. I did my best to have this treatment covered, and told them of my limitations. It was over all a terrible, unprofessional, and uncaring environment. Just focused on money, and not doing there part to correctly file insurance or work with a person with disabilities. I have waited to make this review in hopes we would work it out."
"Dr. Yoon and his staff are by far the kindest and most caring dental office that I have ever been to. It took me several months to get my first new patient appointment. Well worth it, and I can see why. I even lucked out and was able to get a cleaning squeezed in at my initial appointment. This is the type of practice that I wish I had been at all along. Kudos to you and the entire team. What a great experience!"
"My mother broke #8 (the right front tooth) due to a car accident prior to 2008. Dr. Yoon prepped #8 for a crown. This was not long after Dr. Yoon moved to the area. The lab tech fabricated the crown, but the crown was split at the incisal end. On the day of delivery, Dr. Yoon said that it is no longer a crown, but a veneer. The defective crown was cemented. The front or facial side of the crown #8 fell out a few years later, and the large part of the dentin fell out, and it was stuck on the defective crown. There was minimal ferrule left. So my mother needed a root canal on #8, a fiber post, and a buildup prior to getting a new crown at a different office. When a lab makes a critical error, a dentist should ask the lab to remake the crown and deliver the finished product. I have heard many people say positive things about Dr. Yoon, and I believe them. However, whenever I see my mother's front tooth, I am deeply angry and enraged that a defective crown was delivered to my mother. I hope that this type of treatment will never happen to anyone."
"Not the type of place with dozens of examination rooms. A dental office on a very human scale. The reception room is cozy and comfortable. The receptionist is the dentists wife. Such a nice person. That is the theme of the place. Nice people that seem to really care. And Dr Yoon is the type of dentist we hope for. Honest and caring. He did not sell me anything that wasn't necessary. I enjoyed my visit and feel that five stars are barely enough."
"My brother, sister, and I had pretty odd experiences here. The staff and hygienists are amazing, but Dr. Yoon on the other hand wasn’t quite as professional as you would hope a dental practitioner to be. My sister came in to have her front tooth shaved down two match the other, he did shave the tooth down but the two didn’t match which she pointed out and he said “it looked fine to him”, and would not do more. When my brother voiced concerns over tooth pain, Yoon dismissed his worries and instead gave him a “massage” saying he was just stressed. My wisdom teeth started to grow in and I was experiencing some discomfort, I came in to be referred to a surgeon but instead was told I was just stressed after also being given a “massage”. It was incredibly awkward and uncomfortable for both my brother and I."
