Reviews of Allure Salon
"I have used Allure Salon for years. The staff is awesome and I am always able to get an appointment when I need it without having to wait a long time. Wendy is one of the best stylists I've ever used. She is quick, efficient and friendly. I have never left there not happy with my cut and color. Plus they're line of Bare Minerals keeps me from a mall trip. Thanks ladies!"
"Gave my mother and grandmother a spa day to the salon, including manicure. The manicurist was so poorly skilled that she cut my grandmother's cuticles causing bleeding on THREE different fingers. She was running out of top coat polish so she thinned it out with ACETONE and then applied it--their polish never actually dried and had melted off by the end of the day. My mom's nails had been buffed down to the quick and have been crumbling and peeling off for WEEKS since the manicures. My mom tried to contact the salon on 4 different occasions to let them know of this disaster and they couldn't care less. Don't ever go here for a manicure."
"The staff at Allure Salon and Spa are amazing. They all work well together. All the staff are new. The comments you read on here are dated. Massage lady is amazing, we rock at facials, manicures and pedicures amazing, and the stylist taking new clients you just have to come see for yourself. Come see this great Staff."
"This was the weirdest spa experience I've ever had. I did a spa package. The facial and the esthetician weren't bad. That was the first thing I did. Unfortunately, it only went downhill from there. The woman who did my manicure and pedicure drew blood on two of my fingers by filing my nails- she kept filing my skin! It really wasn't a mani/pedi either. Basically just a polish change, and it was the worst I'd ever had. Clumpy nail polish, thick in some places, thin in others, several spots were missed entirely. At lunchtime they gave me a to-go menu from an Italian restaurant and ordered everyone food. They sat me on a chair in the hallway with a TV stand. I got to smile at customers with my mouth full of ziti as they passed. The haircut was fine. I basically wouldn't let her touch it except for a small trim. Then the massage and body wrap- they were okay. What was so weird is I had to go through a five minute consultation before the massage, stand in a hallway in a bathrobe for ten minutes while she changed the sheets, then had to have another five minute conversation after the wrap. (For a wrap, you really have to be naked or you ruin your clothes.) She mentioned after the wrap that she saw some things, but hope I noticed that she was professional about it. She then followed me to the desk pressuring me to schedule another appointment with her. I'm talking trying to sell me a car pressure. As I was checking out I mentioned the horrible nail job and showed the owner my nails, including the flowers on my big toe that were actually just dots of paint. My two year old nephew could have done it. I was asked to come back and the other nail tech would fix it. So I drive all the way back over there two days later, and all they did was repaint my fingers- didn't even touch my toes. And then I was charged for it. I have always wanted to have a spa day- but that day, I just wanted to leave and not come back."
"I really can't give the spa a star rating because I was unable to get my massage. You see, my husband had purchased me a massage gift certificate for our anniversary. I misplaced it and found it after the expiration date. So I called the spa to see if they would still honor the gift certificate. Most small businesses are so eager to provide good customer service that they will gladly do this - but Allure was not, nor could they give me a real reason why...just that they couldn't honor the gift certificate. I did not press them to talk to the manager, but I did tell them that I won't be going there for massages in the future. With the massage business as competitive as it is, I think Allure really missed out on an opportunity to not only gain a repeat customer, but gain one who would have been willing to share her good experience on social media, helping the business grow. It's too bad this spa was so short sited."
