Big Iron Towing

"I was going uphill on I - 77 Northbound after crossing Virginia border my temperature gauge skyrocket after an exit. That time it was raining and foggy. My truck start to slow down and, so I pulled over on the side with flashing on. I check the radiator and coolant was coming out of radiator relief cap. I called around and 2 of mechanic shop don’t have roadside assistance (service) except for just a towing to take it to the shop. I called Big Iron Towing Company and explained my situation and they told me that it could be my Fan clutch not working. Mike the owner/ manager told me that road side mechanic will be at my location in 20 minutes. To my surprise Dathan Bliss the mechanic showed up within 20 to 25 minutes on time without hesitation even its pouring rain and cold outside, start working on my truck and get me back on the road. I’m a Veterans and appreciate this type of help and very nice people still exist in this community. I highly recommend this shop and this people that would help us intime of trouble. "Avoid this place by all means, these people are crooks. Had an agreed price of $600 for towing they charged me 800 plus 100 for labor because they said it was an emergency towing (obviously any towing from the highway is an emergency) and 100 for telling me that I had a coolant leak even though it was the reason why I called towing. Then at the shop they charged me two hour diagnostics $250 to tell me that my radiator was leaking and on top of that 12 hours of labor to replace it, from there $250 to get the radiator for which they charged me $2250, I called the dealership and the price was $1700 without the account(their price is more like $1400 with the account).When I asked about that they said that they don't care about how much it actually cost. Not to mention $250 comp scan to remove my check engine which is still ON! When I asked them why they didn't get my approval for any part of this nonsense they said that they don't have to and if I don't pay they will close my truck in the shop and will charge storage until I pay them. So my radiator cost me insane $6800. I'm the fleet manager at a pretty big trucking company and these people are among the rudest and most arrogant I had to deal for the emergency repairs. NEVER EVER go to this place!"

"Amazing guys they get the work broke down on interstate 77 northbound going up the hill. Call them up. Got there in 20 minutes my transmission was shot they resolve the problem the next day also price for tow and repair was far highly recommend they get the problem fix"

"I don't know what to say...they were able to do radiator replacement same day,in 4 hours but they charged like they was working 8-10h. That wouldn't be a problem, that is road side workshop but problem is that they didn't put Intercooler clump how it should and truck couldn't do regeneration how it should and went to derate mode. They should put new clump and install it correctly and everything would he fine,no matter price. Had to drive 1000 miles to fix problem after them. 3 star is only because it was same day repair but it should be less because I lost weekend and a lot money after their job."
