Spa At Chetola Resort

"Quaint spa - but the massage was fantastic ! Cheryl did a great job and I left feeling very relaxed. She made me feel extra special :) Wish the pool/hot tub was adults only, as I was looking forward to some quiet time afterwards but instead was met with a pool full of screaming kids running around. Facility itself is a little outdated.. but I would come back for another massage from Cheryl!!!"

"The spa experience was less than expected for any resort I’ve been to, especially after seeing the ratings for this spa. I booked a deep tissue massage and paid the extra fee for it. My masseuse barely used any pressure even when I confirmed this was deep tissue during the treatment and asked for more pressure. It was so light I didn’t even feel relaxed. Not to mentioned she talked throughout the massage. I also booked a facial which was much better, however by this point the spa was so incredibly loud and the rooms are not sound proofed enough, some separated from another room by a room divider rather than a wall. Spa etiquette was not to be found here. Lastly the sauna and hot tub amenities are shared with the hotel guests and extremely loud. There was no relaxing in the sauna when children from the pool and loud adults are running in and out of it talking and leaving doors open. I’d really expected more and was sorely disappointed. This was not the day of R&R we had planned."

"We always hear how great it is to go & stay at Chetola so we went to their spa as a girls day...the spa ladies & men were 10 out of 10(they were great) but...for the growing popularity of the area & ultimately the spa...the spa is long...like long overdue for an overhaul...3 of us girls were sandwiched into the spa men's bathroom ...again, if you are going for a massage or hair cut & kinda only expect that...the employees were helpful, kind & great massage service...and we made the most of the few older spa offerings (hot-tub & sauna) but a redo/improvements to today's standard of what a spa is; is definitely needed."

"Not my first time to have a massage at a spa, my husband and I had reservations for a couples massage. The spa is a beautiful space, with a relaxing and quiet environment. We arrived on time, and had to wait for customers ahead of us in line to check in, and then we’re rushed to fill out a registration form, and to get changed. On the registration form, I specified that I preferred a medium pressure massage, and for me I reminded the masseuse that I had also paid the extra fee for deep tissue massage. This was by far my worst experience with a massage, zero deep tissue massage was provided. The rest of the massage was very light pressure. My review has 2 stars because my husband did have a good experience with his massage. I cannot recommend having a massage at the Chetola Spa."

"Beautiful spa tucked away inside a beautiful resort! We started with tea and relaxation and then I had possibly the best massage I have ever had (and I have had lots of massages! ) Tracy had magic hands and melted away all my stress. After the massage, we all relaxed with more tea in a quiet room. Lovely morning!"
