"Loved this store but I went for an interview for a second job in the mornings (because I am employed full time ) and I just needed a part time job during the week for the holidays & I interviewed with a lady named kenora who by the way was very nice but when I walked in her and another lady with 15 piercings in her face and an updo were talking and I stated I was here for an interview and the lady said kenora said “I’ll be interviewing you” while the lady with 15 piercings said umm and kenora asked her why she was saying that the lady with all the face jewelry said “I was going to tell her you wasn’t here but you already said you would interview her “ I wanted to leave then because I’ve never been treated so poorly at an interview especially when I dressed the part and was professional but I followed kenora anyway. She gave me a very professional interview then here comes the lady with 15 face piercings I was sitting down she came in stared down at me like I was nobody no introduction or anything not that I needed one because she gave me enough at the door to let me know I wasn’t getting the job anyway. Long story short I didn’t get the job which I already knew I wasn’t but on top of that I got treated like I was scum of the earth and that’s what bothers me. I already have a second job making more than I would have made there but it’s just the point as a shopper at this store I will never spend another dollar there and I’m pretty sure that lady was racist. And I’m American Indian she was black. And I dressed in a floral purple shirt (that I actually purchased at burkes ) and plain black pants and black flats. I wouldn’t have ever quit shopping there had I not been treated so poorly by this “supervisor “ I can’t wait until corporate Human Resources calls me back."

"Burkes Outlet is one of my favorite stores. They have great fashions, accessories and shoes. Their home decor and furnishings are awesome. All at a fair price. They sell nice scrubs. The two ladies up front of the store had nice smiles and were friendly."
