"This review would be 3 stars if the staff didn't replace the chicken that was impossible to cut without ripping it. Looked tough, but its texture was not as bad as it looked. Decide if you want handheld food in the bar or the main dining area because they do not share menus. We were not at the bar and liked the salad and the free additional ingredients, but it is served it on a plate so hard to cut up the large pieces without making a mess. The prime rib was tender and very good but not the best ever, as the seasoning was just OK. The options for fries are steak cut or a whole potato sliced in 1/2 inch slices, then fried crispy on the outside. Thank you again for replacing the chicken meal, great service!"
"Outstanding steaks and seafood, generous portions, attentive service in a classic atmosphere. The pork egg rolls were delicious, lightly fried but substantial. The coconut pie is by far the best dessert within 50 miles."
"I must say.. this is probably a 4.4 and almost deserving of the 5th star. No wait time (no reservation). Karen? Was our waitress. She was 10/10. Request her section as her dad was a butcher and she can guide you down the right path. This is a hidden gem in So Pines. The table had an assortment of dishes, to include the filet, ribeye, prime rib, and NY strip. Do not recommend the French Onion Soup (no flavor). The croutons are less than ideal for the caesar salad. The desserts were quite tasty. If you’re leaning towards the Old Fashioned, I’d urge against it.. too much ice and a little unbalanced on taste / bourbon. Would return for the price point and service!!"
"No wait time . Got seated immediately an hour before close. The food looked good but was very bland. Frog legs had no flavor . My Caesar salad dressing tasted bad. Potatoes skins were ok. French onion soap bland. Our Server was great tho."
"Parking was tight, it's easy to find. Didn't take long to get seated. It did take 20 minutes to get to order our drinks and even longer to order food. The place was pretty full. There is bread rolls with butter balls, along with crackers and cheese. There was dead roaches in the lights in the ceiling. Me and the wife both ordered filets with salad. The croutons were super stale. Neither one of them was cooked right. Also seemed like a cheap cut, maybe shoulder tenderloin(just a guess). One was way over cooked and one was under cooked. Had to saw them into pieces and it had alot of gristle in meat. The kids food came out great which was the only positive thing about being there. Didnt want to complain cause it took an hour to get the food and the waitress only came by every 20 minutes. The garlic mashed red potatoes had zero garlic and was 100 percent just potatoes. Very disappointed in the quality and service of a expensive restaurant. Unless I had to, I will not be back again. Bad enough with the roaches laying every where."
