"Bought a Ford focus from this dealership. Was told it was in excellent condition no accidents one owner and everything seemed fine until it wasn't. Not even a week into having this car the engine light comes on as myself and 4 children are coming down cowee mountain the car stalls out and will not change gears. Called about it and was told nothing could be done because I didn't purchase an extended warranty. He then calls back later and tells me I have a warranty on the transmission but that was little to no help seeing as it was the transmission control module that had been replaced 4 times by the previous owner. He failed to mention that as well now I cannot get this car fixed because Ford parts are on backorder and cannot fix it unless i buy the part myself. So I have to spend $400 on this part and $140 for the labor not even a month into having this vehicle! If you need a reliable trustworthy company to buy from I recommend mitch's auto sales! He will at least be honest and help with problems like this!"
"My son and I bought a Honda CRV which was a one owner non wrecked and inspected twice over and certified used SUV. At least that's what we where told. Two days after purchase a flat tire, three months I had to replace rotors and pads all the way around. We then found out it was completely rusted underneath. The VCT solenoid rattles when it is cranked and the TPMS light stays on affecting the AWD function. He wanted top price due to the one owner and no wrecks and the so called inspections which made it certified used. The kicker it's been wrecked not once but twice found that out when we where rear ended front the insurance company discussing the value. Beware and look under the cars and don't leave with out a car fax."
"BUYER BEWARE!! Don't be fooled! My son was in the market for a 6 cyl Subaru Legacy. Very hard to find vehicle in the SE. This dealer had one that looked in good shape (pictures can be deceiving) so we went to check it out. Car was close to what it looked like in pics. So far so good. Then came the test drive. Went out with the owner and he couldn't stop bragging about the car and how we could rely on its outstanding condition due to it having gone thru 2 independent inspections out of the auction and a third at his dealership and that any problems are identified and repaired prior to the vehicle hitting his lot. Then I asked him about the noise coming from the front that was obviously the wheel bearing. He said he thought he heard it but that it shouldn't be a big deal. Told him that since he offers a 90 day warranty that if we purchased it that we'd have it checked out and repaired under the warranty. NOT! We should have known that a warranty will not cover pre-existing conditions and the dealer FOR SURE should have known and told us that it would not be covered but he didn't. So we get back to the dealership and he agrees to put it up on rack to check out the belly and no real problems identified. We were numerous times reminded of the inspections done before being put on lot. There is NOWAY the wheel bearing growl could have been missed, so that testament wound up being meaningless. Don't fall for it. He also said he was very committed to customer satisfaction and didn't want to bump into a customer at Walmart and not be able to say hi without harsh feelings due to a bad car deal. That won't happen. Wound up purchasing the vehicle under the impression that we'd be able to file the warranty claim. Took it to Firestone to have bearing replaced and warranty company said not only no due to it being pre-existing but also said that wheel bearings are not covered. Called the dealership for assistance and spoke with owner's wife as he was at the auction buying more cars. She asked me to FAX her a copy of the bill from Firestone which I did. Follow-up phone calls went unanswered. Imagine that! $400+ lesson learned! Gave up trying to reach them as I knew they'd dodge my calls and messages as they did. Bottomline, BUYER BEWARE and don't fall for the its been inspected 3 times before it hits the lot line and that he would want to be able to bump into you at Walmart and be able to speak to you, and the line about the lady that's working on a home refinance and is very interested in purchasing it so if you want it it may not be here when you come back. No telling if that was true or false. My wife needs a new vehicle soon and I assure you there is no way I'd go back to this dealer! Will tell everybody I know about this. Hope it helps you! Like I said, BUYER BEWARE!"
"I bought a 2013 mini Cooper from this dealership about 9months ago. Circumstances changed and I needed a truck so the mini had to go. It's been a good little car, but imagine my surprise when I attempted to trade the vehicle and found out that it had not one but TWO accidents on CARFAX. I asked to see a Carfax at the time of purchase and while I looked at a couple of cars, I would have NEVER purchased this car if the dealer had been upfront and disclosed these accidents. I honestly don't even know if it's legal to NOT disclose them. Unfortunately I took a hit on the car and paid my stupid tax. The car only had 13,000miles on it and it was wrecked TWICE. I'd be very leary of a dealership that would purchase such a car at auction, but even more leary of a dealer that would keep that car on the lot and sell it to someone. Kinda shady if you ask me and I won't recommend them to anyone for sure."
