"I’ve had some rough experiences at Plato’s over the years BUT I went to the KPT and JC one yesterday 1/25 and today 1/26 and the experience was 10/10!! I just have to mention this because it brought tears to my eyes! There was a young girl in front of me who couldn’t afford everything she had and her mom made it clear she didn’t have the money to help buy it and the girl at the register (young blonde) pulled out HER OWN wallet and paid for her stuff!! We both cried! I pray good things come to her!!"
"I took a bag of clothes that I just washed to them to see if they will take any of my men's clothes because my friends say how much Plato's closet is really good at taking care of people and buying your clothes. The girl that was taking my clothes said it'd be about 15 minutes. No problem, they started looking through. They have one pile of good. About 9 or 10 shirts already and the other one had about 4 or 5 well. A random chick that works there with brown hair. Start sniffing them. She said they smell like smoke, but here's the thing I do not smoke and I do not like being around people that smoke which I don't attend to be around them. While she was saying this, she was looking straight at me with a big old smile cause I was watching them because thats what i do when i trade or take things into a place that has this system they run. I went up there. They told me they couldn't take my clothes.I said that is bull because I do not smoke. That was the last straw for me. The way she looked at me made me feel like she was judging me. Because of the way my clothes smell which was bull like I said before. Makes you feel like you don't ever want to come back here. The only way I'll ever come back here. If they would actually do better at training their associates not to smile at people when they say stuff like that. So that's why the one star you might get a better review later on. Probably at a different location. Because this one has got too do some better training to there workers and I hope not all of there store's are not like this."
"Rude associates! I brought in a few bins of clothes all name brands such as Patagonia, North Face, Gap, Toms, etc.… Tons of sweaters and fall/winter clothes. Though they barely took anything that's not necessarily my issue; on the little slip they gave me to tell the reasons they didn’t take stuff they went out of their way to write “eww” when it came to the style of clothing. Like what type of customer service? Many pieces were classics “capsule wardrobe worthy” and used for my photography business so they were definitely not “eww” and even if the associate wouldn’t have wore them herself it was completely uncalled for and I hope she will be reprimanded for her poor attitude both on paper and in person towards customers. Unless you are looking to waste gas and a few hours of your time to get bad attitudes and a quick $15 don’t go here!"
"It’s nothing in comparison to the badass Gainesville store in Florida lol. But they customer service here is still great! I over heard an employee explaining to some customers about the back to school thing they’ll be having. The selection inside to me is small but they do have some cute stuff. I wouldn’t recommend bringing more than 2/3bags due to HOW SMALL the store is, perhaps call in advance. The other thing too that people seem to not realize about Plato’s is they are looking for the more trendy outfits and brands. If you don’t have that don’t bring it. Overall clean store and friendly staff."
