"This place is cool. rRght in the middle of Erwin, Tenessee. I stayed at Uncle Johnny's which is a decent hostel and found Erwin Outdoor Supply. I bought a River shirt from there that has stood the test of time. It feels so good wearing it and you can literally wash it off underneath a trickle if you have to. There is also a thrift store in tractor supply around this location to get everything else you need."
