"Absolutely the worst food lion in NC and VA...Outdated food! The cookies were also outdated and tasted like rotten eggs. Caused me to puke. Besides consistently selling outdated food, the employees are extremely rude as well. Unacceptable and disgusting, I only checked the date on the soup after I opened it, and it smelled rancid. This isn't over food lion! Groceries are too expensive to have to throw away because it was sold 3 days after it expired."

"Best prices anywhere for pet food and cat litter. They also have a pretty good selection of produce that is fresh. Update 11/13/23 I've been really happy with their vegetarian choices in the freezer section lately too! Update 1/16/24 Still the best place to get groceries. The other Food Lion is really good too. Hopefully they'll stop only getting the cases and Friskies pate' cat food and offer a better variety of that brand. My cats don't like the pate'."

"Fast, In & out, Love the self checkout, I usually don't have to wait, sometimes you do, but not long.. Just had to pick up some fresh cooking oil for my deep fryer..self checkout is the way to go if your a fast shopper like me.. Grab items, scan, & bag.& Pay...love it. Can't be no easier than that"

"It's a grocery store so it meets expectations. But if I have to ring up and bag my own stuff, you should give discounts. I don't work for you. This is why cashiers should be on shift. I had items the scanner wouldn't pick up, and wouldn't take the code I guess I'm supposed to type in, and still wouldn't take. So I just left them on the kiosk."
