"I've been coming here for about a decade. Unfortunately, Flying J is taking over in a big way. It's down home country atmosphere is going away. The free truck parking is going away. It's going to be a typical Flying J with a shop, flying j food, and paid parking (hopefully not half the lot). I hope that they don't lose the "Mayberry" theme and keep selling the memorabilia. They make awesome gifts!"
"Me and my fiancé got two warm plates absolutely delicious. Not to mention the staff was absolutely above and beyond generous and full of laughter. I left my gravy and one of the cashiers ran outside to bring it to me. Absolutely impeccable. Customer service will definitely return."
"This place is more than ok. Old showers but clean. The food awesome, Lots of parking all around scale hard to see behind the garage and NC certified only. Staff always smiles at me to feel welcome. Motel close to this FJ."
"Stopped here while traveling to use the restrooms. This place is definitely outdated and a lot of stuff wasn't working, like the drinking fountain. The food smelled good and it seemed like it was very popular amongst the truck drivers. They have a variety of items you can get here. I thought it was nice that they had a lounge area, showers and laundry facilities altogether for the truckers. There were some guys wandering the parking lot and I probably would not stop here if I were by myself."
"Old school truck stop that is dated but they keep it clean. Got here at 8pm and found a spot up front with a few more in the back. Restaurant is open until 10pm. Old school truckers love it. Good stop for a 10 to me"
