"Went for Christmas lunch with coworkers. Saw that the pimento cheese sandwich was made without mayo and knew I had to order it. The pimento cheese was about an inch thick between the 2 pieces of bread! It was very good as were the homemade chips. Want to go back for dinner at some point and try some wine."

"Food was delicious. Three others in my party all got quiche and loved them. I got a chicken mozzarella sandwich (can't remember name) and it was yummy. This is my mom's favorite place to eat, and it's up there for me too."

"Poppyseed is one of our go to’s, especially on a nice day! For lunch, it’s order at the counter but they bring it to your table when it’s ready. Dinner is full service. There’s ample indoor seating and maybe 15 outdoor tables (give or take). We love to go for lunch, grab a drinks and sit outside. We always come home with a tub of chicken salad. We usually like it better with a dash of salt and sometimes it can be a little onion heavy but it’s overall a delicious shredded chicken salad. The chicken salad sandwich comes on a croissant (pictured) so obviously that’s a hit! The mixed green salad is delicious! It’s a little sweet between the craisins and vinegrette. (Also pictured) We also enjoy the macaroni salad and the egg salad."

"Have not had the chance to check out this gem in North Raleigh in a while. Personally, I love the concept of counter service for lunch and a fine dining experience at dinner. Had a great time at the bar before heading to an event at Quail Ridge Books. You have to check this place out. Excellent customer service. Super high quality. The Old Fashioned was delicious as were the croquettes and parm fries."
