The Peddler Steak House

"When we first arrived and we were told a table would be over an hour and a half we were skeptical. But we drove over an hour just to try them out. We were not disappointed! The drinks were were perfect. The steaks were cooked to perfection and delicious. I did not care for the dessert (creme brulee) but certainly didn't let that ruin my night. Our server was attentive without being overbearing. I highly suggest enjoying an evening here if you have the time."

"This place is amazing! It was my first time there and my husband hasn’t been there in a long time. I took him for his birthday. Our waitress was awesome, the bartender when I sat at the bar waiting for my husband and a table was awesome. The hostess was awesome from beginning to end! The food was amazing and tender. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. This was a pleasant and amazing experience! I will definitely be back! I’ve tried almost every steakhouse in Raleigh but they definitely far exceeded all of them!!"

"Update 3 years after the last visit. The food was delicious, and the service was great. Since they do not take reservations, we had to wait 2 hours for the table, but it went by quickly as we had drinks in the bar. Would recommend if you do not mind the wait. Below is the review from 2019.... First time back to the Peddler in over 30 years. Looks just like I remember it inside. The service was excellent, as was the salad. The steak was okay, definitely not the best, but was cooked to order. The meat did not have much flavor. There were much better steaks in Raleigh, but the price was good. Desserts did not taste homemade and were the least favorite part of the meal."

"A great prime rib, but with several larger groups hard for eaitress to check on us. Still enjoy Peddlers. Aalso dessert selection was much smaller than last time. For people that have allergies like myself, a few more selections help in selecting a dessert. Since there were so few we didn't order one."
