"So, I won't be going to Hipoke again. I've been to Hawaii, and this poke bowl is definitely in NC and should stay here. Hawaii makes it super refreshing, fresh, juicy, flavorful, saucy, and light at the same time. Today, I did not enjoy the salmon or spicy tuna. Bizarrely it tastes too fishy, and I've had plenty of sashimi before. Everything else was ok, seaweed, olives, mango cubes, edamame, and the spicy mayo. I'm not sure about the freshness, but I did pick up my meal through Uber about 20 minutes after I placed it. The staff was very upbeat and polite, including the young lady working there today."
"I love ramen. Tonkatsu ramen is my favorite. I’ve had awesome ramen. The ramen is good enough to satisfy a craving for ramen. The broth is a little weak and the noodles are okay, the overall experience is acceptable. I’ve had worse at fancy, expensive restaurants."
"Since the time I have had poke bowl in Hawaii I have become a huge fan of it but m still on a hunt to find that perfect bowl on the mainland. Hipoke has a very Limited choice of toppings and no avocado option at all. Did a take out of spicy tuna bowl but it was simply bland."
"We wanted to like this place. The staff was friendly. We ordered tonkotsu ramen, miso ramen with seafood and a bowl with rice, shrimp and toppings. The ramen was bleh, zero flavor. There only 3 shrimp and a few dime size scallops in the miso seafood ramen, pretty sad for $15. Only part I enjoyed was the soft boiled egg. Disappointed."
