"Leroy’s is part of the Boxyard complex, which gives you many good food and drink options. Parking is rather easy, since the office complex already has to accommodate for its employees. Even during peak times, we’ve been able to pull in and park no problem. The overall complex is loud. That’s the only reason I deducted a star, is for the atmosphere. Open mics/performances are always happening, and while some appreciate the music, we do not like the level of noise. Again, it is VERY loud. The inside of the restaurant is a no frills type of place, but it’s simple and kept clean. They provide water and cups, cutlery, napkins, hot sauces, and even wet wipes. The food makes up for the loud atmosphere… the tacos are simple and good size. I have ordered the chips and chicharrones (two salsa and queso)as a starter, then either the brisket quesabirria or carne asada. The meat is always seasoned very well, and the salsa are fresh. I recommend to add cheese to the carne asada. I recommend getting additional consomé, since they only give you one dipping cup per party."
"I had been hearing about them birria tacos at Lawrence BBQ for months and never got the chance, so I was THRILLED when the same team opened Leroy’s. The quesabirria tacos were spectacular and the avocado salsa was *chef’s kiss.* The staff is kickass and so, so kind. The food is exactly what is should be—flavorful, filling, and made with so much care (brisket smoked on-site and tortillas homemade by another local shop). You also can’t forget the 90s vibe that just gives me all the nostalgic feels. Definitely a favorite and will be back regularly!"
"Disappointing quality. The meat in the tacos was crunchy, the consume dip was cold, and the pork rinds were stale. Also the tamale was dry and cold with no flavor. The chips and salsa was the highlight of the meal. What a waste of 40 bucks"
"The brisket quesabirria was amazing. The rice was great too but the potatoes with peanuts on it was weird and unnecessary. They need to scrap this cornbread tres leches with strawberries. It ate like a strawberry shortcake and had no identity as tres leches"
"So so so good! Everything is seasoned perfectly and super flavorful. All the food we tried was amazing but standouts were the carne asada taco and the salsas/queso. Will be back again!"
