"Counting House is my favorite go to place for yummy food, relaxed environment and a no rush feel. The art gallery vibe is a bonus, the waiters and waitresses are inviting and it's a place where I love to go to relax, eat and drink."
"I had a reservation for brunch on Saturday 11/11/23 to celebrate my birthday! I was hesitant after reading the brunch/breakfast reviews but decided to proceed. I wish I wouldn’t have. I had the deviled eggs as an appetizer and they had no flavor other than the crispy garlic bits. The burger was not good and my friend’s burger was overcooked. My friend didn’t like the salad, she shared there were too many contradicting textures. The tater tots and shrimp rolls were good though! I like the atmosphere and would check it out for dinner but would not return for brunch. Also, someone who worked there was trying to charge me $25 per person removed from the reservation although the cancellation policy is $25 if the reservation is cancelled. Thankfully the manager was able to confirm my understanding of the policy was correct vs. being charged $75 for removing 3 chairs."
"As a seafood lover this was delicious. But my fiance doesn't like seafood, so we were pretty disappointed to find out it is turning into a seafood spot. Overall it was pretty good."
"Our waitress was completely accommodating to us, even though (apparently, and we didn't realize) they were about to close. Good is about every piece of art, guided us about the old bank building, and even wave and thanked us when we happened to see her on the street. Our other waitress was spot on, able to remember every order, mod to orders, etc without writing it down, and got it all right."
"Love the ambiance. Definitely a good place for a date night, subtly lit and great art around. Started with the deviled eggs and had the bay scallop scampi. All of the food was pretty good. I was still a little hungry after I left would be the only complaint. Last time we came I had a summer salad and rigatoni and it was absolutely delicious and very filling so I think maybe it was what I chose this time. With one starter, three entrees, and three cocktails the tab was only 160, so it wasn’t bad. I will be back and definitely recommend."
